Nikolai's POV
My body started to wake as I could feel the touch of silk against my legs.
This doesn't feel like the sofa....
My eyes jolted open, and to my surprise the first thing I saw....
He sat on the edge of the bed watching closely. The sunlight from the window reflected on only part of his face while shadows covered the other. For a moment I thought I was dreaming, until he spoke.
"Sleepy head." He called out in a low tone. "C'mon and get up."
I stared for a moment before sitting up and looking around the room.
"How, how did I end up in bed?"
"I put you in before I got up to shower. We've got to get you back to your hotel so you can get ready. Would you like breakfast?"
"Breakfast? Ah no, no you don't have to do that."
"I can make you pancakes."
I couldn't help but to chuckle and take him up on his offer.
After attempting to tame the mane of mine, I went downstairs and into the kitchen.
"You get the special." Prince said bringing the plate over. "I hope you like blueberries."
"I do actually. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Would you like any syrup? Honey?"
"Honey please."
"Here's your juice and honey."
"Thanks again." I smiled while pouring a bit of the honey onto the pancakes.
He watched quietly as I cut into the pancakes and took a bite.
"Yes?"
"Just waiting on the verdict."
I scrunched up my face as he watched with narrowed eyes.
"They're good. Very good honestly."
"I knew you would like them." He replied. "Besides, I do make the world's best pancakes."
