~Smut Level:2~
|LOVE BEHIND THE GLASS|

~Day One~

"You're sulking. Why are you sulking, paladin?"

You leaned against the glass of Lotor's cell, your knees pulled up against your chest. "I'm not a paladin."

"You're a member of team Voltron, what does that make you if not a paladin?"

"Dead weight."

Lotor walked towards you and squatted down to your level on the other side of the glass. "Why would they ask you to watch me if they didn't value you?"

"There's no way-" you knocked on the cell wall, "-you're getting out of there. They asked me to guard you so I'd be out of the way."

When Lotor didn't answer you knew he was at a loss for words because he knew you were right. The team assigned you to easy, unnecessary tasks so you'd be out of the way.

The thick Altean glass that made up Lotor's cell vibrated and you looked over your shoulder to see the Galra prince leaning his back against the wall behind you. If the glass wasn't there, your backs would be touching.

"This cell is stuffy."

You giggled.

~Day Two~

"You're back." Lotor said as you walked through the doors leading to his isolated cell.

"The others are going on a mission with the blade. Coran can man the ship by himself so I figured I'd do something they think I think is useful."

You sat in the same spot as you did yesterday, but this time you were facing Lotor and looking him in the eyes.

He was silent for a moment, but then he walked over to sit across from you.

"You know, they wouldn't be able to stick you in here with me anymore if you were strong enough to hold your own in battle."

You frowned. Just yesterday Lotor was the one who tried to make you feel better and make you feel like a member of the team, but now he was insinuating you were weak.

Seeing your mood change, Lotor spoke again. "I'm not saying you can't, I'm just trying to offer to teach you how to man a sword."

"You'll teach me how to fight?"

"Not exactly, I'll teach you how to train yourself to be a good swordsman with the resources the castle has."

You perked up and a smile spread across your face. "Really? You can do it from in there?"

"Of course. If I couldn't do it from in here I wouldn't have offered. Go get a sword from the training deck and bring it back here so I can show you."

You didn't hesitate and ran to the training deck to get one of the lighter swords Shiro told you to use when practicing. On the way back to Lotor's holding cell, you ran into Coran.

"(Y/N)? What're you doing? Where are you taking that sword?"

"Uh-" You racked your brain for any excuse you could use that would make any sort of sense. "The team is on a mission, if we get attacked I need to have something on me to fight off the enemy."

Coran didn't look entirely convinced, but he nodded. "I guess it's always a good idea to be well prepared."

You waited until the ginger man was gone before running to see Lotor.

"I got one of the practice swords!"

Lotor smiled. "Good. Hold it up so I can see what we're working with."
