You stood next to Allura on the bridge, both of you scrolling and reading information on your panels. Every now and then you'd look up to catch a glimpse of Allura's long, white hair or big, blue eyes and when she caught you you'd wink before quickly looking away.

The door to the bridge slid open and you felt an arm slip around your shoulders.

"Hello gorgeous~"

Rolling your eyes, you stepped out of Lance's grip and shot him a glare. "Why are you here, Lance?"

"What? I can't just come visit my favourite girl?" The blue paladin asked innocently.

"No. I'm busy."

Lance pouted and hunched his shoulders, stuffing his hands deep in his pockets. "Fine. I'll come find you before dinner?"

"I'll be busy."

With a sigh, Lance left the bridge and you turned your attention back to your panel.

"Favourite girl?" Allura questioned, cocking a brow.

You smirked. "Jealous?"

"No, not at all." Allura said, shutting down her panel before walking towards the door.

You quickly turned off your own panel and chased after the princess.

"You sure you're not jealous? I know you pretty well and you seem jealous."

Allura didn't look at you and shook her head. "Not at all. Why would I be jealous?"

You reached out and took Allura's hand, pulling her into the closest room that just so happened to be one of the many closets in the castle.

"(Y/N)!

After shutting the door you pulled Allura close to your body, wrapping your arms tight around her waist and burying your nose in the curve of her neck.

"It's okay to be jealous. It makes me happy." You mumbled.

"My frustration makes you happy?"

You hesitated. "No?"

Allura sighed and hugged you back.

"You know, he'd stop if he knew we were together."

Allura drew patterns on your back with her fingers and didn't say anything for a moment.

"I know, but I'm nervous to tell them. Distracting them at such a critical point in the war could be devastating."

You pulled away from the princess and cupped her face between your hands. "They'll be happy for us Allura. You and I both know that, but we also both know that Shiro won't let the team get distracted by our personal lives."

"What about Lance?"

You laughed. "Lance has been rejected by more women than just me. I'm sure he'll be fine."

There was a long pause before Allura nodded. "All right, lets tell them."

"Really!?"

Allura nodded and you pecked her lips happily.

"Let's go! We can tell them over dinner!"

You lead Allura out of the closet and down the hall to the dining room. A large grin was spread across your face the whole way.

"Hey, guys!" You greeted once you stepped inside.

The group mumbled a few hi's but didn't pay you or Allura much attention.

"Guys. Allura and I have something to tell you."

Everyone turned their gazes towards the two of you and you smiled a goofy grin when you saw the light blush across your girlfriends cheeks.

You held your hand out to Allura and she took it, lacing your fingers together.

"Allura and I are dating. Have been for a little while now."

A nervous bubble started to form in your gut as you waited for your teams reaction. Allura sensed your unease and gave your hand a light squeezed.

Hunk was the first to speak up. "Yeah, I fingered."

"Me too. It wasn't hard to figure out actually." Pidge shrugged.

Keith nodded. "Agreed."

"Wait, we weren't supposed to know you two were together?" Coran asked.

Shiro smiles at the two of you. "I'm glad you trusted us enough to tell us. As long as you two are happy we're happy."

The anxiety you felt was gone and you smiled at everyone. "Thanks, really."

"We would have told you sooner, but we didn't want to be a distraction." Allura added.

You were about to say something else but were cut off.

"W-w-wait! You two are together!? As in dating!? Since when! And why are the only two girls on this ship dating each other!?" Lance ranted.

Pidge cocked a brow. "I'm a girl."

Lance swatted his hand. "You don't count."

You laughed and turned your attention to the girl next to you, kissing her cheek. "I can do this now whenever I want. I don't have to hide it."

Allura giggled. "Yes, I guess you can."
