chapter 23

Mia's POV

I was piting him . The way he walked out of the kitchen , it was clear he didn't have an ounce of interest in entertaining two twin toddlers but he was helpless.

I was doing some happy dance in my mind and strutted after him.

We rushed to the kids where we last left him to find them fighting amongst each other. Ryan was on top of Aryan pulling at his hair with all his might and poor Aryan was crying his heart out.

Poor baby . Karan hauled Ryan immediately off Aryan , and he started kicking trying to reach his brother. He even didn't leave Karan . When his foot met with Karan's jaw , Karan was already red with anger . Poor him .

I was laughing in my mind , trying not to burst out in front of him but a sharp cry broke my line of thoughts.

Aryan was on the floor crying, holding his hair . I sat down beside him and pulled him on my lap. " Ahhh, A it's nothing baby. Don't cry", I continued to whisper sweet nothings in his ear but he was still sobbing holding my neck tightly, his small face hidden in my chest . I continued to pat his back softly till he let out dry heavings and no sound. His face had tear marks ,he was sitting calmly in my laps. 

I wondered if our baby will be like this . Like Ryan , fighting with other kids or he will be like Aryan ,the softhearted one who won't strike back .

Aryan was playing with a lock of my hair and giggling softly , I smiled down at him . He was trying to hide from me using my own hair and then smile cutely when I find him .

Things looked quite and good for the time being , but then I realised Karan was not here with Ry. Where did he take him? And most importantly what worried me was what did he do with him?

I didn't want to alert A once more ,so I couldn't shout for Karan . But then I found my phone and called him to come to the me.

Karan came down the stairs. Alone . Looking at his phone . Completely lost in something.

"What Mia? Is this one troubling you?" He pointed at Aryan with so much distate in his voice , that made me annoyed.

"No. For your information he was not bothering me . He is a very sweet boy. " He was looking at me as if he couldn't believe me.

"Okhay, so what"? He wiggled his eyebrows and he sounded so unsure.

"Where is Ry? Why did you leave him alone?"

He gave me a extremely proud smile . "Don't worry Mia, he is doing just fine alone . Trust me he doesn't need us ."

He scared me with his tone ,"what did you do Karan?"

"I just locked him in the bathroom , with the lights on "

"Are you crazy or what ? Karan ? You locked a kid in the bathroom alone?" I couldn't believe him . He was horrible with kids.

I rushed to our room , overhearing all of his shouts for me to go slow.

I immediately unlocked the door . A small body came rushing to me and hugged my legs.

Ry was completely wet , his clothes were dripping but then his face broke my heart . He was also crying. I crouched down at his level and he hugged my neck and hided his face in the crook of my neck .

"Ry, baby what happened? Tell me baby!" After patting his back for some time he somewhat became stable and looked at me. I wiped his face with my hand to encourage him to go on .

"He locked me here . I was playing swimming swimming then I was cold then the door didn't open . I was scared ."

Aww baby . I found his red spider man bag thrown on the floor and immediately changed his clothes . He was feeling better already, he started jumping.

It's time to deal with the villain . Karan Raichand.

Ryan went happily down the stairs and I followed him carefully. Aryan was doing something in Karan's iPod and the poor kid was trying to get his attention but Karan was busy in his work. 

I feared Ry and A will start fighting again but that didn't happen. Ry , like a good innocent kid went and sat beside A. A immediately shared his iPod with his brother.

Maybe that's the twin bond or the sibling bond , I never had any siblings so I never got to share those sweet things with anyone. They will fight one moment like swore enemies then the next moment they will be back to being best friends.

Looked like they won't fight any time sooner, so I marched to my dear husband who was not being that good in the moment.
"Karan , come with me I want to talk to you." I went to the kitchen .

He followed me . " Do you even know what you did Karan ?"

He face had no expressions , it was clear he had no idea what he did was wrong ?

"Karan I am just so done with you now. I will just call zee to take them up. Hopefully you will be happy then ". I was tearing up. His actions made me really disappointed.

"Okhay babe , tell me what's wrong ? If you wanna send them then it's ok but don't cry love . I hate it when you cry . " He pulled me to his chest , patting my hair gently. Why was he so clueless sometimes.

"I am not crying. " I mumbled  .

"Yeah yeah and I am blind " . We  laughed together because Karan and sarcasm they never go together.

"You cannot absolutely cannot lock a child in the bathroom. You hear me? This is crazy . He was crying. He was cold . He was scared . What kind of parenting is that . I will not let you touch my baby . " I was shouting at the end of the line .

He pressed his lips on mine efficiently stopping my words. It was a sweet and small kiss, nothing erotic or passionate.

"Breath love . I understand. I locked him for some times but then I forgot. But hey don't say you won't let me touch my baby ." He was caging me in his warm embrace.

"So you promise not to do this things anymore?" He kissed the crown of my head " I promise. But don't tell about this to anyone. I can't believe I forgot." He let out an embarrassed chuckle .

Ry and A came running to us in the kitchen. " Up up up " they both started pulling at our legs . I was about to bend down but Karan stopped me. Instead he scooped the twins up in his strong arms.  He winked at me I gave him a thumbs up.

That's it. I know it's supper late and it's not good at all for me to post the part now. But I decided to post everyday till the first 10 days of the upcoming year.

Now why? That's a surprise. Try to guess if any of you can.
