Logan's POV
As we rode back to my place, Anabelle sat in the passenger seat looking out the window, looking over in my direction a couple times. I gripped the steering wheel hard with anger. At times, I forgot that Ana was even in the truck. All I could think about was the way Jake's hands were on her. It washed me with so much jealously when I saw them, and it still does. I can barely even think straight. At the same time, I am no boyfriend of Ana's to be jealous of who's with her and what they do with her. But Jake knew better!!!
Gosh. Calm down, Logan, before Ana notices anything.
We pulled into my house and immediately, Anabelle gulps hard when she spots Lydia's car. I fill with concern and many questions as I watch her actions closely before parking next to my other vehicles. I turn off the truck and look over to her who is holding onto her back tight, making her knuckles go white.
"Ana?" I say and her attention is faced towards me.
"Did you say something? Sorry, I didn't hear." Anabelle says with fear in her eyes.
"Are you okay?" I ask setting my hand on top of hers and she softens, letting out a puff of air that was being held in.
"Yeah, I am fine." Ana says. My heart tells me to not believe her. "I was wondering what Lydia thought about this whole move?" She asks and I force a smile.
"I mean, it's not like I asked her permission. This is my home. She does not live there. But if it answers your question, I simply told her to call a Uhaul and she said nothing. Just smiled, nodded, and moved along." I answered and grabbed her hand in mine. "Why?" I asked. Anabelle shrugs and looks at me with a comforting smile.
"Just asking, babe."
Her words made my heart beat faster and butterflies to flutter around in my stomach. I couldn't help but chuckle and squeeze her hand softly. I wanted badly to tell her those 3 words but it seemed as if they were tangled at the tip of my tongue.
A knock was heard at the driver's car window. Brendan.
I opened the car door and Brendan gives me a small smile.
"Hey, where do you want us to put the boxes?" he asks and I simply tell his anywhere around the house.
Once Brendan walks away, I look over to Anabelle and we get off the truck. We shut the car doors and walked inside my house, opening the front door wide for the movers to bring in the boxes inside the house. Ana set down her bags on the couch and Lydia walks out from the kitchen.
"What is happening?" Lydia asks as Anabelle walks over to me.
"Ana is moving in for a while." I said, grabbing Ana's hand and looking over to her with a smile. Ana smiles even though she seems to be distracted by Lydia, who is eyeing her up and down. I see this in the corner of my eyes. My attention turns back to Lydia.
"Problem?" I ask and she quickly shakes her head.
"No, but where is she going to stay? Are you going to build her a room or something?" Lydia asks and I shrug.
"I have a room. I have a bed. She can stay with me. If she wants to, later we could probably build her a room of her own." I say. Ana looks at me with a nervous look. I look at Lydia. I quickly notice that the energy between the both of them is no good. I could assume that the energy is not extremely negative either, but then again, I really don't know.
"Cool. Well, do you have anything else that you want me to do?" Lydia asks with a frustrated sigh.
"Just to pay the Uhaul." I say and Ana quickly walks away. I can tell she feels off.
"Do I have to stay for that?" she asks and I shrug.
"Just get the money from the bank and you can stay out for a little while, but just make sure to come back here to pay the bill." I say and set down my backpack. Lydia nods and walks off to grab her things.
