PART 2Aeris clutched his stack of books to his chest, his equally filled bookbag swinging from his shoulder as him and his brothers walked down the school hall, his shoulders brushing with his brothers from time to time.
Comforting him.
He had never really liked school, with the noise and constant chaos it was a bit much for him. Though he also knew he never had to go through it alone. His brothers, Derrick and Darren, always by his side protecting and watching out for him. So he knew he had it better than a lot of other kids. He'd seen it.
Kids getting bullied in the hallways or harassed in the bathrooms but they had never touched him. They knew that if they did, his brothers would be hot on their trails.
Glancing up, he watched as they made their way down the hall, his brothers greeting their friends but never actually leaving his side. They knew how school seemed to always unnerve the small teen.
By the time they reached their first period, Chemistry, Derrick turned to him, an encouraging smile on his rather chiseled face.
"You can go the rest of the way on your own, right?" He asked the smaller boy, reaching up to move a curl from his face.
Aeris nodded, his smile confident as his brother gave him one last hug before turning into his class, Darren chatting animatedly with a group of girls.
Spinning on his heel the boy went to step away, his English class a bit more down the hall but just as his foot touched the ground someone rammed into him. Sending the boy falling on his bottom.
Letting out a gasp, his books flew out of his arms, flying all over linoleum tile of the school's hallway.
His eyes quickly jumped to who was above him, his eyes meeting a pair of piercing blue hues. Their effect so intense he almost closed his own.
"Oh my bad, are you alr - " the male started, his hands on either side of Aeris, preventing himself from almost crushing the smaller male underneath him.
The blonde stopped, his stare intense as he just stared into the boy's bright emerald eyes. Not once looking away or even just to blink. His body was just frozen over the boy like a statue, his large muscled arms caging him in.
Both of the boys staying there for a few moments, just gazing into each other's eyes.
Though Aeris was the first to break the trance as his eyes roamed the males impeccably chiseled features. From his high cheekbones to his very kissable lips. And not to mention his eyes, the same blue irises that seemed to be looking right into his soul.
Aeris blushed realizing they had been like this for way too long, noticing the way the blondes friends had gone rigid behind him, their expressions one of intrigue as they watched the scene before them in complete silence.
As if they were watching something of great importance unfold.
He tried to sit up, the blonde getting the hint as he quickly moved out of the way allowing the small male to get up, though as if in a daze.
Quickly grabbing his books, Aeris mumbled a small apology before running down the hall, the embarrassment too much to handle at the moment for him to actually face the handsome
blonde and his friends. Especially since he was also already late to class._
After that, the day had gone by fast. Aeris not seeing one peep of the handsome blonde or his odd friends. Though the memory stayed in his mind, as he replayed the scene over and over again.
He didn't understand what was so addicting about the blonde, but he couldn't will himself to forget it. It was hypnotizing.
Aeris let out a sigh as he made his way to the twins football practice, a pep in his step since he finally got to see his beloved brothers.
The locker room was packed as the male changed for football practice, though it wasn't like he was actually on the team, he was just like the water boy. He usually carried around a big container of water, some Gatorade and even a handful of wet towels.
Shoving his school clothes in the locker, he locked it up, fussing with the large basketball shorts that he now wore. Hand me downs from Darren.
The heat was stifling as the male made his way out to the field, his curls sticking to his forehead as he waddled around with the water container which wasn't really heavy but was very hard to balance.
Team members came and go, filling up their water bottles then jogging back out the field, his brothers included, who had only volunteered him for this job so that they could keep an eye on him.
Across the field, the coach waved him over, obviously thirsty from standing in the stifling heat. The boy sighed as he looked from side to side, he didn't really feel like walking around the whole football field with the water container so he decided to walk through to the other side.
Though he knew it was a bit dangerous, considering the heavyweights that jogged around the field, guys that could easily squash him.
Just as he was about to step onto the field from the sidelines, his eyes caught a patch of blonde. The sun reflecting off of the beautiful color.
The boy blushed, remembering earlier as he realized exactly who it was who had walked onto the opposite side of the 53-yard field, his friends behind him as they horsed around.
"Get it together..." he scolded himself, quickly averting his eyes as he stepped onto the field, the water container balanced between his small hands and forearms.
He was almost across when he was plowed into him from the side, his small body falling to the ground, the contents of the canteen spilling all over him.
Bracing for impact, he quickly covered his face trembling in fear as he prepared to be completely squashed by whoever had fallen on him.
Though the impact never came.
His eyes slowly opening as they met with the same piercing blue hues from earlier.
His hand on Aeris' bare hip as he pulled the boy close, and pushed the oversized player to the ground. Effectively protecting the boy from getting squished.
And all Aeris could do was lay there, his mouth opening and closing like a fish as he realized this gorgeous blonde might have just saved his life.
