PART 10

His stare was deafening and Aeris couldn't shake the eerie feeling he got. Those blue eyes piercing his soul, finding out everything about him, everything inside of him. It was too much.

"So you're saying your cousin has imprinted on him too?" Aaron sneered, his tone frightening as he stared at Chase.

Darren and Derrick doing the exact same, except they looked like they were ready to kill, and Aeris couldn't even remember who or why.

All of them sat around the kitchen table, the tension so thick, the boy could cut it with a knife though he couldn't figure out why Chase was even here and half-naked at that.

The sight wasn't unpleasant in the slightest and obviously, Aeris was having a hard time not looking, but all of it combined left him a shaking, quivering mess.

And as for the conversation, the boy was completely lost.

"He has, " he confirmed, nodding his head towards the boy, jaw flexing underneath his sun-kissed skin.

The boy pulling his brother's navy blue blanket even tighter around him, blocking out the apparent chill in the house, but it seemed like he was the only one feeling it.

Looking up, he was met with four pairs of eyes, all on him and they seemed to all hold the same emotion: anger.

Feeling more than uncomfortable, he shifted in his seat. Causing those blue orbs to follow him once more, as if somehow he'd disappear if he wasn't watched.

"He'll have to come with me, " Chase spoke, breaking the silence as his brothers visibly bristled.

Darren the first to speak, "Fuck no-"

The male quickly cut off by Aaron, a look of warning on his face as he stared at him for a moment.

Aeris held the small duffle bag tight against his chest, his eyes wide as he looked around the luxurious room, which he could tell had been styled by professional interior designers. From the bright whites to the shiny golds, the male was taken by surprise. Especially since the whole house had been like this, from the moment they drove up to the gigantic property just about an hour ago.

"I know its kind of a lot," a voice interrupted the males thoughts, the boy jumping slightly as he turned to see Chase standing in the doorway, his tall frame almost touching the top.

This was a lot? Aeris almost scoffed at that, everything had been a lot from the moment he had to step out of his house and come here. He still wasn't even given an explanation as to why, and that shook him to his core knowing he really had no control over all of this.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, the male completely ignored his presence taking a seat on the downy comforter, timidly moving to sit his bag next to him. Though not too far, considering it was the only thing in this room that he was even remotely familiar with.

"Look..." the blonde sighed, leaving his stance at the door as he made his way to the bed, settling a hand on Aeris's arm.

The boy jumping slightly in response.

"I know this is all really new and it all seems really abrupt but..." he paused, licking his lips, "Know that its all for you and your well-being and I promise that you will get your explanation soon."

Aeris wanted to scoff at this but held back purely for the sake of being polite.

He didn't want to hear any of these excuses anymore, the situation was so beyond him that he wanted to scream. Maybe even tear his hair out because he still didn't even know why Chase was even involved in all of this. Hell, at school they only had talked maybe a total of three or four times.

And now Aaron was forcing him to live with him, and however many other people this gigantic house seemed to hold.

His thoughts were interrupted by shuffling coming from the hallway, Darren standing in the doorway moments later. His own duffle bag over one shoulder as he walked into the room, regarding Chase with a not so nice greeting, "What are you doing here?"

The blonde stiffened at the question and especially the accusing tone behind it, "Just trying to comfort him."

"Listen you've already done enough today can you just leave him alone?" Darren asked sitting his bag down next to the bed, "I'm here now, he'll be fine."

Aeris watched Chase's grip on him tense for a moment before the male got up and left the room, slamming the door in his wake. A frown settling on Aeris's face, as a sudden pain dug into his chest.

"Alright, so you want to know why we're here right?" Darren asked, the male taking a seat next to him with a sigh. His body language making Aeris that much more nervous, but he nodded, regardless, he needed to know.
