Aeris's voice was shrill as he sobbed, the male cradling the blonde's head against his chest. They were cousins for godsakes and Damien just...

"A... Aeris?" Chase grumbled, the wolf starting to wake as he shifted in the smaller's grasp. Wanting to see his face, he wanted to know that the brunette was okay.

"Chase... I thought you were-" he choked, his cheeks growing bright red as excitement rushed to his face. He couldn't believe it, Damien hadn't actually killed him.

" You really think I would just kill him?" the male in question finally spoke, his voice sending chills down Aeris' spine as Chase growled, the sound almost instantaneous at this point whenever the vampire spoke.

"See I need something from you... and I need something from him, " he mused crouching down next to them as Aeris sat on the floor, holding onto Chase for dear life.

"And before I even think or consider letting either of you go, you will give me what I want," he bit his lip and glared at the stone wall of the dungeon, tracing the various stains and cracks that decorated the surface.

"No."

"What?" Damien hissed, rounding almost immediately on the wolf, though Chase wasn't backing down, "You heard what I said, I said no."

At this point Aeris was beyond confused if Damien had finally offered a chance to let them go then why refuse it, this chance may never come again, and he definitely didn't want to stay here.

"Wait Chase maybe we should think about... maybe we could just-"

"I said no. You don't know what he wants and I could never allow him to do that to us and to our..." he stopped once more, the blonde covering his face with his grimy hands, balling them into tight fists.

"Look Chase I'm trying to give you a chance if you could just give me-" Damien started, the male seething as he watched the two interact, Aeris' arms wrapped tightly around the alpha, embracing him.

"I"m not giving you shit!" the alpha boomed, the last of his strength mustered up and used in one fell declaration.

"If you won't give me a child then I will do it myself... you know I'll find a way, " he threatened one last time before spinning on his heel and marching out, slamming the metal door behind him as the locks clicked into place.

Aeris and Chase left in the dark.

"I don't understand," Aeris spoke into the nether, the blonde in his arms shifting so that he could face him, sitting up as he wrapped his large arms around the boy's small waist.

"It's unthinkable Aeris, I couldn't imagine putting you through that I just can't-"

"Through what?! You aren't telling me anything here. I swear to god I feel like there's always a conversation happening that I don't even know about like shouldn't I have a say?!" He yelled, the brunette finally at his breaking point.

The past few days had been traumatic, his life was constantly in danger and at one point he believed Chase to be dead, and now that he knew he wasn't, he's suddenly trapped in this whole ordeal that he knows nothing about. He had already expected Damien not to be divulging any information any time soon.

But not Chase.

The small boy pushed Chase away, the male crawling over to his own corner in the dark damp prison, pulling the towel around him tighter as he leaned against the cool stone.

"Aeris I would've told you I just don't think that you can handle it... he's been alive for eons, he doesn't care about who he has to hurt and he doesn't care about the consequences. When I was growing up, I used to dread having to see him, he was just so unnerving and his family was worse..." he coughed, gulping as he stared in the dark, trying to make out Aeris amongst the shadows.

"Look I would never lie to you and I understand why you're mad but there is no compromising with him. There never has been," he paused, the chains rattling against the floor as he tried to soothe the dull ache in his wrist.

"Like he said he... wants a baby. An heir to his throne, a king for his damned dominion of bloodsuckers."
