PART 20

The chains pulled on him, the cool metal rubbing against his wrists, his ankles, and his thighs. It was agony. He couldn't help but wail, for his brothers, for Chase, for anyone. Eyes half-lidded he glanced at the wall next to him, it read 12:21 am, but it had said that for about a week now and Aeris was starting to think it never worked, it was just there to taunt him. Aeris felt the tears staining his cheeks once more, his limbs convulsing, shaking in excruciating pain.

Damien had mentioned something, a process, a transformation. He also referred to him as 'omega', the word was completely foreign to the small brunette and at this point, he just assumed it was something demeaning, Damian's tone of voice almost all but said that.

"I told you I always get what I want, why won't you just believe that?" he seethed-

The male sinking his teeth into the boy once, twice, three times.

Consciousness had left him by the time he was done, the male subconsciously blocking out the sounds of Damien's roaring maniacal laughter.

The clinking of metal awoke Aeris from his deep slumber, the male clutching his towel closer as he shivered from the freezing air drifting through the room. Groaning he sat up, the small male wishing that Damien had at least let him get dressed before he was dragged out of the room and down here.

"Are you awake?" A hushed voice whispered from across the room and Aeris recognized it immediately, the baritone sound comforting him, soothing him, even if this wasn't the best situation.

"I got out," Chase simply stated, the blonde rolling his shoulders a bit as he stood to his full height, still crouched a bit but a lot better than before.

Aeris was astonished, the brunette jumping to his feet, "H-How?"

"It wasn't that hard but it did take a lot of my strength," Chase sighed as he continued to stretch, trying to shake his joints awake. His wolf already up as it paced back and forth in his mind, trying to find an escape plan.

He walked over to Aeris and engulfed him into a hug, whispering, "I thought I had lost you... I don't know what I would have done."

Aeris let himself revel in the blondes warmth, the male holding onto him tightly as tingles ran throughout his entire body, something in him awakening, fighting to the surface as Chase leaned down and pressed a kiss to his lips.

The action taking Aeris completely by surprise as he gripped onto him, his thin arms going to wrap around the blondes neck, pulling him closer.

Something felt right about this, even if the shorter was practically shaking due to nerves and whatever the hell else. Chase felt right, it was almost the complete opposite of how Damien made him feel. Chase was warm, comforting, supportive and Aeris was surprised he was just realizing this now. It was almost like a smell or a flavor that reminded you of home, your family, that level of nostalgia rested in Chase. Though it was combined with a feeling of excited fever, wanting, and all of the above because when he was with Chase he couldn't explain it.

"Now let's get out of here, " Chase smiled at the boy as he pulled away, his large hand resting in the crook of the boy's neck, something that left Aeris feeling lightheaded.

"You think we could pop the lock with the same piece you used to break the chains?" he asked, hopeful that would be the case because it would make their daring escape a lot easier.

"That what I'm thinking too," the alpha agreed clutching the metal piece in his free hand, before scoffing, "Normally I could break it down myself but my wolf isn't necessarily feeling up to it."

That part was obvious.

Aeris' gaze now focused on the cuts and lacerations decorating the males' chest and crawling all the way up to his neck, where dark bruises lined the area right above his collarbone.

It was hard to believe that Chase and Damien were cousins, they used to play together, they grew up together and now they just fought each other.

Aeris took a step back as Chase worked on the door, the male sliding the piece in between the door and the wall, shimmying it for a moment before the lock audibly popped and the door swung open, creaking in the process.

The blonde didn't waste any time, Chase propping Aeris up on his back, the boy complaining immediately, "This is not needed."

"Please you couldn't keep up to me even in your dreams," he teased, Aeris not having to see the smirk that decorated his handsome face.

Down the hallway came a shout, then another as people rounded the corner, their eyes falling on the newly freed prisoners. They didn't wait to see what they had to say as Chase ran down the hallway, his hands gripping Aeris' legs as he rounded corner after corner, pushing the occasional vampire out of the way. They used their shock as an advantage and Aeris knew this is why most of them weren't fighting back, their blood-red eyes widening the minute they saw the wolf, hisses rising from the dark and cascading against the walls of the gaudy castle.

It wasn't long before they approached the huge gold plated double doors that led into the castle, Aeris realizing that they hadn't seen Damien anywhere.
