General Organa turned her head slightly, and within a second the entire room's faces lost their expressions of shock and went back to work. She looked back to me, a pleased smile adorned her.

"You're friend Finn has already filled us in on the Star Killer Base. I'm assuming that you know the base as well?" She asked, I nodded 'yes'. "Good, as far as we know from recent transmissions. They're trying to find you." My eyes widened in fear. But before I could say anything at all, she raised a hand. Telling me to stop.

"This is good for us, they're trying to contact you. Right now, they need you more than we do." I understood right away what was being asked of me.

    "I'll need a ship."

"And we have the perfect one for you." She walked over to a monitor, showing the hanger. She pointed out a beat up cruiser, it was ugly to look at. But the perfect cover. Organa picked something up off the table. A small earpiece.

"They'll see that in an instance and know somethings up." I brought to her attention, she nodded. Thinking for a moment, she looked up at me.

"Do you have somewhere you can hide it that they wouldn't look if they became suspicious?" She asked, I mentally listed off every possible spot on the outfit I arrived on. Nothing would work. I grabbed at my amulet, she could see how stumped I was. Rubbing the necklace that's when it came to.

    The necklace!

It was my eighteenth birthday, and it was a bright summer morning. I was combing my hair out, it wasn't as long as it is now. Just covering my breasts. I wore a thin robe, a fake silk. There was a gentle knock on my door.

"Come in!" I called out, to no surprise my mother walked in. She was wearing pleated light grey pants, and a loose wrapped shirt. In her hands, she held a small box. I smiled warmly, I told her I wanted and needed nothing for my birthday. Walking quickly into my mother's arms, we hugged one another tightly.

"I know what you said, but I saw this in the marketplace a few days ago. And I couldn't help but think of you." She pushed me gently away, putting the box between us. I grabbed it lightly, opening it. The small present snapped open, inside revealed a beautiful amulet. It didn't hang from a chain however. But my goodness it was a gorgeous blue, with green accents creating patterns on its outer rims.

"And then there's this." She dangled a silver chain in front of me. My eyes narrowed at it.

"Is that. . . Is that nanny's?" I asked, she nodded. My grandmother had died when I was very little. But I had faint memories of her.

"And that's not the best thing, the amulet will recognize your touch. If you swipe it a certain way, it opens up." My mother said giddily. My look of amazement confirmed in her mind that she had picked the perfect gift. And was she right. Gently I rubbed my thumb against the back of the amulet.

And just as my mother had said, it opened up. It was hollow. I looked up her smiling.

"Happy birthday my sweet girl, Odessa." She embraced me once more.

Just as I had done all those years ago, I swiped my thumb on the back of the pendant. It popped open, Organa's eyes were surprised. My hand was held out for the communicator, which she handed it to me. Hiding it away, I looked up sensing eyes on me. To my left, Poe Dameron was watching me as another commander spoke with him about what he needed to do. I nodded to him.

"I'll show you to your new quarters so you can get ready, I'll have them bring your weapons and original clothing so you can prepare. You'll be leaving on a certain route of Q'Dar, and well before the rest of the fleet. Make it quick." With one last look at the pilot, I was once again lead through hallways to my new room.

"If I don't see you before you leave, may the force be with you."

I looked right back into her old, wise eyes. "And with you, General."

My clothing laid on my bed, besides my blasters. Where was my staff? Paying no mind for now. I changed out of Paige's loaned outfit, even though I looked like a badass in it. I needed to look as I did before, and beaten up. Thank the heavens I did take on some fire during my time away. Otherwise it wouldn't be very believable, especially if I induced harm upon myself to sell the story.

Quickly I put on the white long sleeve, and pants. They were dirty and soiled, cuts and holes scattered across them as well as my robes. My belt on, I began placing my blasters on their clips. A knock at my door startled me from my concentration.

"It's open!" I yelled loud enough for the visitor to hear. The door slid open, then closed as the footsteps entered.

"I believe this is yours." It was my brother, I turned to him. Dressed in his orange pilot jumper, he held my staff out to me, I smiled taking it from him. Attaching it to my hip, before I could return my gaze to Cain. He was pulling me into a hug, which I gladly returned.

"Promise me that we'll be back together." He whispered. He in this moment was no longer a fearless rebel pilot, but a scared little boy. Afraid of losing his only family.

Sighing, I hugged him tighter. "When have I ever broken a promise?" And that's the last thing we said to each other. We pulled apart, his eyes glossy and I could only imagine mine. Less than four hours ago, I was reunited with my brother. And now we're being pulled apart again. But this time wouldn't be like the last, we'd be together sooner than we think.

And just like that, I was alone in my room once more. I stood there, with my eyes closed.

I am death. I am fear.

My eyes snapped open.

I am Odessa Paki.
