Morning came harshly, two things Paki's are known for; our overconfidence, and poorly handling our liquor. And I definitely proved that right last night, and this morning I was suffering for it. I dared not to open my eyes, even with them closed tightly I could feel the sun's beams coming through the window. Laying there, I tried to mentally fight the headache that pulsed.
Rolling onto my side, I peeked at the clock on the table. It was O-Eight Hundred, groaning lightly. I still had time until the base was to see Rey and Chewbacca off. Grateful for the time I had, I rolled onto my other side. And I tried so hard to not let a scream escape my lips, instead covering my mouth quickly with my hands.
Why in all the galaxies is Poe Dameron in my bed?
As quickly and quietly as I could, I retreated to my bathroom. As the door closed, my back was slammed against the wall. My breathing was hard. What the hell happened last night?
Retracing my steps, I remember grabbing a bottle of wine. Then going to my brothers room, where I found him and Paige in bed together. I ran, I ran onto the rooftops. Then Poe showed up. And I fell asleep. So nothing could have happened, I mean I was still wearing all of my clothes. And from what I could remember from briefly seeing the sleeping pilot, so was he.
Okay, I need to wake him up. And tell him to leave. Yeah.
Collecting myself, I strode out of the restroom. I thought quickly, deciding against just shaking him awake. Grabbing the extra pillow I had once been resting on, I slowly climbed onto the bed. Each of my feet on either side of his hips, raising the pillow as I stood above him.
"Poe," I cooed, he stirred, "Time to wake up," I spoke softly like a mother waking her child for school. He slowly rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Looking up at me with my wide grin, while his eyes widened as I slammed the pillow down onto his face. Repeatedly.
"Hey! Hey!" He shouted, lifting his arms to defend himself. But that wasn't going to stop me.
"If that's how you want it, fine by me." Was all I could hear through my attack, before I felt his hands grab the insides of my knees roughly. Making them buckle, I fell on top of his lap. He quickly ripped the pillow from my hands, making me shriek. Quickly, as it had probably been rehearsed a million times. He rolled us to where he was on top now, pinning my hands above my head.
A look of annoyance mixed with amusement danced in his eyes. Before he smirked and froze.
"Oh no, stroke." He whispered, as he fell on top of me. He was trying not to laugh as his body weight crushed me. Wheezing, I tried pushing him off. But Poe somehow made himself heavier.
"Poe, get. Off of me. You fat buffoon." I muttered, still struggling. He pushed himself off of me looking down on me.
"I'm not fat." He stated, slightly hurt by my comment. Only then did I realize as I looked into his eyes how close we were. Poe and I just stayed there, and if it wasn't for my ringing head. I could've sworn he was moving closer.
Blinking rapidly, I pushed him off. Rushing out of my bed.
"So, why were you asleep in my bed?" I asked, started to gather things so I could shower. He rolled on his back, slightly dazed.
"You told me to stay." Was all he said, I froze for a moment before returning to what I was doing.
"Well, I need to clean up. You need to leave." I stated smiling awkwardly. Poe just looked at me, before sitting up. As he rose, he grabbed his boots from the side of my bed. Putting them on. The pilot just looked at me, studying me. I pressed my lips together, as he walked up to me. He put a hand on my shoulder, and kissed my check lightly but swiftly.
