Making my way as well as I could, I found the hanger where my ship waited for me. A familiar curly headed pilot was checking on it one last time. Quietly, I snuck up behind him. Watching as he looked under panels, inspecting circuits. BB-8 was right below him, his little head spun around to find me. He began whirring angrily. His taser popping out, ready to stun me. Poe spun around, the unit moved closer to me.
"Whoa! Whoa! BB-8, she's with us!" Poe rushed between us, the droid argued.
"This is, Odessa Paki, the one I was telling you about. Cain's sister." Poe explained. The taser went back into the droid. Slightly relieved, I had had enough of being shocked and knocked out for this lifetime. Poe faced me rubbing the back of his neck slightly embarrassed.
"So, this is the cruiser you'll be taking. It's unregistered, we picked it up from a graveyard in Jakku when my squadron picked me up." He explained, showing me the ship, "Even though it's extremely beat up. It's really easy and simple to fly, you should have no issues." He assured me.
Nodding, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I was about to face my once allies, and I greatly feared Kylo Ren being the one to great me. Dare he look into my mind, I don't know if I was mentally strong enough to hide my betrayal. The commander took notice of my hesitation, and pulled me into a supportive side-hug. Rubbing my shoulder.
"You'll be fine, kid." he joked, "And when we pull this off, we're going to have a celebration. The entire base, and you'll get to know everyone. And you'll see your favorite pilot, and of course your brother." He teased me. I pushed him off, laughing weakly.
"Don't flatter yourself, my favorite pilot is myself." I said walking backwards, before spinning on my heel and climbing into my ship. I began to turn everything on, I looked to Poe and BB-8 one last time. Cain and Leia stood besides them. Waving me off, I smiled nodding at them as I took off.
The course General Organa had told me about was on my map, I followed it closely. Flying low to not alert anything that could possibly be keeping an eye out for any movement on the planet. The map showed instructions to pull up, and that's what I did. Turning it off, I knew exactly where I was going. Setting the thrusters to prepare to jump to lightspeed, I was off on my most dangerous mission thus far.
It didn't take very long for me to reach the Star Killer Base, I didn't bother flying under their radar. I turned on the communicator.
"This is N-1 Naboo Starfighter, requesting to land. Ship is carrying friendly." I spoke into the mic. The radio crackled, I waited anxiously for a response.
"N-1 Starfighter, state your business and those on board." My radar announced I had cannons on me.
"This is Kou, I've come back on a captured ship that was in a junkyard on Jakku. One more, I request permission to land. You can hold guns on me until I land if you don't believe me." There was a pause, the radio's static was all that was heard in the fighter. Fear started to spike, what if they did see me at Maz Kanata's? What if my mask did fall and I didn't notice it? No, it was secure.
"Permission has been granted, bring it in slow. Ship diagnostics will be ran."
Letting out a sigh of relief, "While I respect the diagnostic, I suggest destroying it. This could be tagged by rebels that would give away our location." I smoothly said, knowing that if all went well I'd be on the Millenium Falcon by the end of this. Bringing the ship towards the hanger, I landed it. However the landing was rough due to this thing not being flown in ages.
Opening the hatch, I climbed out of it. I was met by troopers with guns pointed at me, one of their commanders recognized me and barked an order to lower their weapons.
