Morning came rapidly to my dismissal. A new challenge came with it. Figuring out how to crack into the ID10 unit. Grabbing whatever clothing my hands reached first, I dressed quickly. Slightly baggy olive green pants, brown belt, an off-white long sleeve that hugged my skin. Slipping on my boots, I grabbed the box that held the droid and went on my way to the archives once more.

Upon my arrival, I didn't run into anyone. Possibly from the time in the morning, but I was thankful for it. I had no time to talk, I wanted to get this thing fixed and running. And my last resort would be to slice it, and manually rewire it. Taking a seat in front of the monitor as I had done so the day before, I lifted the ID10 from the box placing it on the desk.

Cracking my neck, my fingers typed quickly pulling up Iden's files again. I reread everything over and over again. All her battles as a Rebel.

Sighing in frustration, I threw my head back.

"I know all your dog fights by heart at this point, Versio. From giving yourself in, to your death. What else is there?" I questioned to no one. But that's when it hit me. These are her records here. What about when she was allies with the Empire? Head back in place, my fingers moved rapidly.

Digging for the information I needed. And there it was. The Rebellion's files on her prior to her defect. She had been captured by the Rebel Alliance. The records stated how the commander on board gave her an option of surrender, but she somehow escaped with the help of the droid. Despite the unit being inactive, it somehow came into action after a verbal code was given.

That's it!

Quickly, I searched for any video footage there had to have been of her in her cell. And almost as if the Force favoured me, there she sat. She was beautiful, and intimidating. Her brown hair was pulled into a tight bun. And her tan skin was flawless. Her armor was black with red detailing. Reminding me of my own from the past three years.

Playing it, she sat there listening to the commander speak. I hung on every word.

"Iden Versio?" He said enchanted. She just looked up at him, the venom dripped from her brown eyes.

"Inferno squad?" He walked further into the cell, "Commander Versio. You must be important." He continued.

He walked around her, watching her.

"Look at me." He commanded, but her eyes only moved to a different part of the floor.

"So let's talk facts, that's what I'm here for. You have activation codes. I have the ability to help you out." He raised his arms giving her the offer. "Just give me the code." She watched him carefully as he sat in front of her.

"You know we could really use someone like you, just help me and I'll help you. It's that easy." She just stared him down. Not budging from her stubbornness.

"I'm gonna get what I want eventually. My best technician is slicing into your droid right now." That statement made her lean forward, the men in the cell pointed their guns to her. But their ranking officer raised his hand to ward them off.

"Think on my offer. All I want is the code." He stood, readying himself to depart. "The Empire's time has come, you don't have to go down with it." He turned to walk out. Her eyes looked after him.

"You're right." She spoke, even her voice was beautiful. Yet it held so much danger in it. The three men turned to look back at her. "The Empire's time has come." They looked at her a second more, before turning and leaving.

The doors slid shut. As soon as they were gone, she turned to her helmet.

"VZ-626." She spoke clearly.
