Childhood Crush - Taehyung

A/N This ones kinda long but I really like it.

*flash back*

"Muuum, Taehyung broke her!" I sit next to my friend in the car as she cries over her headless doll. I never liked Barbies but Jess didn't like the same things as me, so I went along with it, I always just went along with what ever she wanted.

"Taehyung don't bully your sister. You owe her a toy now." Calls Mrs Kim to Taehyung, my best friend's older brother. Taehyung folds his arms and leans back into his seat with a sigh. Although he's 13 and I'm only 11, I have the biggest crush on him. But I could never tell Jess as to her he's her gross older brother.

"Isn't she too old for baby toys anyway?" He says mocking her.

"You still play with pretend guns and swords, those are toys!" Jess quickly defends herself and he laughs.

"Toys?" Suddenly he pulls out a Nerf gun from under the seats and shoots her in the head. She lets out a scream, "It's a weapon." He corrects her, pretty proud of himself. Suddenly Mr Kim decides to take charge.

"Taehyung, hand me your gun." All amusement is wiped off of Taehyung's face. He seems to hesitate but his father glares at him and he hands him the gun. The window is rolled down and a gust of cold air hits us all in the back seats hard making all three of us gasp.

"Wait, no don't!" Taehyung calls horrified and, in a matter of seconds, the gun is thrown out the window with a crash. Taehyung gets out of his seat and looks out the back window of the car looking at the shattered plastic on the road that slowly grows distant. He sits in his chair with no complaint, no tantrum like you'd expect from a boy having his toy destroyed...he always tries to act strong.

*present time*

"You guys nervous about staying in the woods? What if I'm just taking you here to kill you?" Tae teases but Jess just sighs.

"You're not taking us, you're joining. Mum made you accompany us." Jess says and he smirks.

"You wouldn't have had fun without me," Tae adds but Jess shakes her head.

"Jin is coming, trust me we don't need you for it to be a good trip." I sit quietly next to Jess in the back seat of Tae's car while the siblings quarrel.

"Yeah but he's your boyfriend, someone has to keep Princess entertained." He looks back at me with a wink and I feel a light blush go over my cheeks. I can't help but blush when he uses the nickname I had acquired from him a long time ago.

*Flash Back after Taehyung's Dad chucked his toy out the car*

As the journey continued, Taehyung's silence continued. Jess chatted away happily as well as their parents but I wasn't really listening, I was too focused on Taehyung being upset.

When we stopped for a toilet break him and I were left alone in the car. He still didn't speak. I got out of my seat and turned around to look at him. "You can have mine." He looked up at me confused. "I brought my Nerf with me so we could have a gunfight together. Jess said you weren't allowed to bring a friend to the campsite so I was going to play with you as well." I said. He looked at me with a little smile and leaned forward. He softly put his hand on my head.

"It's okay, it's yours. But thank you Emma." I shook my head and persisted.

"No, it's for you. You deserve it more than me." I blush a little. "A prince needs his weapon," I said, very embarrassed. In my head, I had always seen him as a rogue prince. He looked at me a little shocked then put on a wide smile.

"Well if you want me to have it so bad then I'll use it to protect you. Every Princess needs a Guard."

*Present time*
