fallout - Jin

I glance over to Jin who is busy doing something on his phone. He and I are on opposite sides of the sofa in his apartment happily ignoring each other.

"Did you do that test today in your class?" I ask.

"Hm?" He barely glances up at me. "Oh, right. Uh, yeah." He looks back to his phone.

"How was it? You hadn't put much time aside to study." I say.

"It was fine." He shrugs.

I roll my eyes and just look around the room bored. "Should I cook us something? I haven't eaten yet." I offer.

"No, it's fine. I ate with Jungkook and Jimin earlier." He says, this time not even sparing me a look.

"You didn't want to invite me?" I ask a tiny bit offended.

"It was just us guys yunno? I didn't want to be the guy to invite a girl." He says uncaringly.

"So I'm just some girl? I consider them my friends as well." I frown.

"Don't get offended, you know what I meant." He says with a sigh.

"Well I turned down dinner with Namjoon so we could eat together," I say. Jin looks up from his phone and looks at me with uneasy eyes.

"Namjoon invited you out for a meal?" His eyebrows furrow slightly.

"Well yeah. I told him how much Uni has been stressing me so he said he'd take me out for a meal to relax. I told him I couldn't because you and I are supposed to be hanging out."

Jin puts his phone aside. "So you're telling me, my best friend asked my girlfriend on a date?" he says offended.

"Oh, so I am your girlfriend?" I say surprised by his sudden attention.

He groans frustrated then shuffles up to me on the sofa trying to pull me onto his lap. I push my hands against his chest to keep his face away from mine.

"Oh no no no. Don't you start getting all close when you get a bit jealous." I say angrily.

"Are you angry at me?" He asks as he tries to kiss my neck. I feel his skin touch mine and for a moment my touch deprived body almost lets him take control of the situation but I quickly stand up.

"Yes actually. You only decide to give me attention just when you think someone else has any interest in me."

"That's not true." He goes to stand but I quickly go to the door.

"Don't follow me out," I say and slam it behind me.

I quickly walk down the hall to leave but hear the door open "Kyla!" Jin calls after me but I leave anyway.

*Time skip to the next day*

I sit in the library looking between my laptop and my book.

"Why does the online version say something different?..." I mumble to myself confused.

Suddenly Jin pulls up a seat next to me and sits on the chair backward.

"The online version is the updated version, that animal is no longer considered endangered." He says gesturing to the picture on the screen.

"Thanks, I didn't ask you," I say sarcastically.

"You're welcome." He smiles confidently making me roll my eyes. Jin leans over and just closes my book that has no bookmark in. "How about you ditch this and come to eat with me and Hoseok? He's on his way there now." I look at the closed book with a clenched jaw.
