His Queen

Chapter 11

~Iris's POV~

Adrien had to go fight another Akuma, leaving me alone. Now's my chance to transform. I slip into an alleyway and transform. As I jump from rooftop to rooftop, I see Adrien fighting a girl, when I get closer, I see it's Ladybug. She's been akumatized.

"Wolfie, about time you show up." Adrien focuses on Ladybug.

She swings her yoyo at me, but I dodge her and swing my sword. This is gonna a long fight.

"You took Chat Noir away from me!" She yells at me. " He belongs to me!!"

Her yoyo comes flying at me, I jump, avoiding her strikes.

"I don't want to fight you, Ladybug. This isn't you!" I try to talk some sense into her.

"Oh, but this is me. The new me." She smirks.

Chat Noir stands by me and prepares to fight alongside me.

Ladybug is saved. The Akuma is purified, Paris is saved, and I need to go back home before Adrien gets there.

I started to go but Chat Noir stops me by grabbing my wrist.

"Who are you?" His grip on my arm tightens, telling me he's not gonna let me go anytime soon.

"You know who I am," I whisper.

"I do?" His grip falters.

I nod. "I'm someone you can't stand to lose." I get out of his hold and run toward the house.

I know Fang told me I can tell Adrien but knowing how he is and how protective he is of me, he won't like the fact I was fighting alongside him. And Fang has been dying to see Plagg again for some unknown reason. I don't know what to do, my mind is so cluttered with thoughts and I can't seem to think straight.

I finally get into my room, plopping on my bed, "That was a rough fight. Fang, tail in."

Fang appears beside me, staring at the window.

"You are Wolfie?" Adrien's voice is upset and disappointed.

Crap. He found out. I didn't want him to find out like this.

I look at Adrien in his alter ego. His eyes are glued to Fang and his stature is more than just terrifying.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, Adrien. I was gonna tell you today but I backed out. I was scared you weren't going to let me fight alongside you. I want to help, I want to defeat Hawkmoth and make Paris safe again. I want to do it all with you by my side, supporting me and fighting with me." Tears stream down my face silently.

I hear Plagg talking to Adrien. "Kid, she's telling the truth. She was gonna tell you but her fear made her chicken out."

Adrien sighs and sits next to me, "As long as you promise that you will do anything to keep yourself safe, Iris. I can't lose you, "he pulls me into a hug, "I love you so much." he kisses my head.

"Plagg!" Fang says.

"Fang!" They hug and start to catch up.

"I promise. As long as you don't try to get yourself killed by protecting me." I make my condition.

Adrien smiles lightly, "Deal." He kisses my hand.

I giggle. With all of this fighting and Akumas, I've realized that Adrien and I haven't gotten to spend much time together. Yes, we see each other in school and during and after the fights but that's it. We haven't had any time for each other. And, that makes me a little sad.

~Adrien's POV~

I can't believe Iris is the Wolf; I never would've suspected that. As I stare into her beautiful green eyes, I noticed I'm leaning in to kiss her soft warm, smooth lips. When I do, electricity shoots through my whole body, it feels like I'm standing by a fire, and it's comforting. Welcoming, even.

She pulls away, and the warmth stops. She climbs into bed and I follow her, wrapping my arms around her lightly. She rests her head on my chest; soon, all I can hear is her light breathing, and as I concentrate on her, I started to fall asleep.

Everything feels perfect at this moment, almost as if this will last forever. My mind starts to wander off. One day, I'll marry Iris Ishtar, I'll kiss her whenever I want, I'll see her walk down the aisle in a beautiful dress, I'll say 'I do', and have a family with her. One day I'll be the man she needs, till death do us part.
