Adrien and I have agreed to not keep each other in the dark, so, therefore, I am now attempting to contact the Priest in my territory to make arrangements for our arrival. Adrien has Natalie speaking to his father, Gabriel Agreste, about the summer field trip. According to the teacher, the trip to my kingdom will be all summer, and surprisingly, Adrien and I don't have any summer shoots to do for Mr. Agreste. I finally get into contact with the Priest.
"Princess Iris, what may I assist you with?" His voice brings warmth into my heart.
"I need you to prepare rooms for my guest in my class, we are visiting the Southern Territory for three months. we are departing in the middle of May, that should give you enough time to have everything settled." I say in a monotone expression.
"Yes, My Lady."
"Contact me at this number once you have everything finalized. Understood?"
"Yes, Princess."
The line goes dead, that's when Adrien comes in with Plagg. He is hiding something from me and I don't appreciate it very well; however, Adrien's expression shows excitement and happiness. So, I decide to just go along with it and figure out what's he hiding from me.
"My love, close your eyes, please." His smile is captivating.
I close my eyes and feel his fingers brush against mine, putting a small object in my hand. A box? The texture is velvety, cool to the touch.
"Open your eyes." Excitement fills his smooth, gentle voice.
Once I open them, I see a small black box with gold trim and a white ribbon keeping it sealed; I untie the ribbon and slowly open it. A beautiful simple diamond ring with a good band sits delicately in the box.
"It's a promise ring," Adrien takes the ring and stares into my eyes. "I promise to never make you feel like you're unwanted. I promise to always be there by your side through every battle and whatever else life decides to throw at us. I promise to always love you and to never keep secrets hidden from you. I promise to be your partner in crime and lover in life. And with this ring, I swear to always make sure you're my first priority. "
He slips on the ring on my left ring finger, as tears trickle down my cheeks. I kiss him passionately, wanting him to feel the same love I'm feeling at this moment. I want him to know how much he's changed my life, how he means to me; he's everything I've wanted in a man, he's strong, he picks me up when I'm down, he always finds a way to make me smile. I don't want to lose him and have the grief weigh me down like my family's deaths have.
I hug him tightly, "thank you, Adrien. I love you so much."
"Anything for you, baby." He embraces me and we stay like that for a while.
A loud crashing sound comes from outside, causing Adrien and I to break the embrace. Fire scorches most of Paris, people running and screaming.
I look at Adrien and smirk. "Let's go, my kitty. Fang, tail out!"
"Plagg, claws out!"
After we transform, we hurry to see what might've caused the fire. As we rush by burning buildings and cars flipped over and on fire, I spot a dark figure watching this lovely city burn. I continue to run beside Chat Noir, but now, I can feel myself transforming again. My speed accelerates, my vision is heightened, and I feel physically stronger. I stop near the Eiffel Tower, waiting for Chat to catch up. I look down at my body, there's dark grey fur covering my arms and legs, my claws are sharp, and I feel my canines sharpened and longer as well.
"Wolfie, are you okay?" Chat's voice rings my ears like a beautiful melody.
"I'm fine. Better than fine, I'm stronger than I ever was, Chat." I smirk.
I hear a scream nearby, a very familiar scream at that; I jump off the roof I'm on and rush toward the sound of distress. It's coming from the news studio, I hurry into the burning building and I follow the sound of someone screaming. A part of the ceiling drops in front of me, making me jump back a few yards; I can hear coughing from behind me. I get a whiff of Adrien's scent.
"Chat!" I turn back and try to find him within the roaring flames.
"Wolfie!" I can hear him call me from where I can from. "Where are you?!"
I run towards him. "Follow my voice! Keep talking so I can find you."
Another pillar falls in front of me, blocking Chat's way to get to me. Damn. A clapping noise comes from behind me.
"Two superheroes trying to find each other in the fire. How romantic." The same dark figure from before appears before me. "Hello, Princess."
My eyes widen, no, it can't be. He should be dead. Shiki...
"On the contrary, my dear, I'm well and alive. Thanks to my partners, Volpina and Ladybug." He smirks.
What? Ladybug is helping him? Why?
"You took someone from me, Iris, and I plan on taking it back." Ladybug appears behind Shiki.
I growl, "I don't that's possible, Ladybug. You see, there are already plans of Adrien and I to be married." I just have to stall them until Chat can get to me. "The Priest and my council are making preparations for the wedding as we speak."
Come on, Chat. I can't stall them for much longer.
"You're lying. You have to be lying." Ladybug snarls. "Adrien wouldn't ever marry you!"
"Actually I would." Chat jumps over the fallen pillar and stands in front of me protectively. "And, I plan on it."
He smiles at me and I smirk, readying my claws; I growl at Shiki and Ladybug.
"You take Shiki, I got Ladybug!" Chat says while running to attack Ladybug.
I follow his lead and throw my hand toward Shiki, aiming for his shoulder. He dodges and he draws out his sword, I snarl and prepare to attack again, except this time, strike while his guard is down.
He swings and misses miserably, I continue to dodge his attacks; I notice that his stance is off. If I can use his stance to my advantage, I just might--
"AHHHH!" A cry of pain rings in my ears. Chat?!
Chat!!!
