It's been a week since the incident with the enlarged beast, and I still wasn't going back to face Adrien. I haven't transformed back into my normal self; I still have claws, my canine fangs sharp, my eyesight heightened. I have become something beyond my control, I have so much anger and shame built up inside of me, and I get my enraged emotions are the reasons why I am what I am now. My miraculous hasn't worn off yet, and I'm wondering why.
~Adrien's POV~
I continue my search for Iris, looking everywhere I can think of. As Chat Noir, and when I'm patrolling, I still search for her. Iris, please let me find you. I know you're scared, but please just let me help you.
"Chat Noir, is something wrong?" Ladybug's voice breaks through the silence.
"It's Wolfie, I'm worried about her. She's all alone and scared out there. I've been trying to find her for a week now, but I got no leads or clues to where she's gone." I look up at the sky, the moon peeking through the clouds.
"I'm sure she's fine, kitty, give her time." She looks away.
Ladybug looks distressed. What's wrong with her? Should I ask?
"Ladybug, what's wrong?" I glance at her.
"You stopped calling me nicknames, and you don't use puns with me anymore. You've been using them with her." her blue eyes are a dark, sad blue. "Why is that? I thought you liked me?"
Her question shocked me, "L-Ladybug, I did like you, but then I realized that you would never return my feelings. I moved on. It's true, I don't flirt with you anymore, I stopped calling you nicknames because I..." I pause, "I love someone else." I stand up and walk away.
I stroll down an alleyway when I hear a low, menacing growl. I turn around slowly when I saw her white hair. Iris. Her amber-colored eyes glow in the dark, her fangs hidden by a frown.
"What are you doing here?" Her voice isn't the same, sweet, angelic voice I once knew.
"I came to find you, my lady." I gulp rather loudly.
"I'm gonna hurt you, Chat Noir." She stays hidden in the shadows.
"Iris, come home." Tears threaten to flow, but I hold my ground.
"I can't, something is wrong with me, I can't return home like this." I can see her golden eyes dull with sadness.
"Let me help you, Iris." I take a step forward, "I want to help you, my love."
She steps into the faint light from a pole. Her white long hair shifts with every movement, her human ears are gone and on top of her head is a pair of real white wolf ears. Her nails looking sharper, longer, and are covered with dried blood; her usual green eyes are a burning liquid gold color.
"Would you love me still, if I had to stay like this?" Her eyes avert to the ground.
I take long strides to her, and pull her into my arms, "of course, I will still love you, Iris. I'll never leave you, baby." I whisper in her silky hair.
She sobs in my chest and I continue to hold her in my arms. I lift her chin for her to look at me, I lean in and passionately kiss her on the lips. She doesn't pull away, instead, she wraps her arms around my neck and deepens the kiss.
"I'll always love you, Iris Ishtar," I whisper once we break apart from the heated kiss.
Bright silver light surrounds Iris, what's going on? My eyes widen as I see bright green eyes, dark brown hair, and beautiful tan skin. The dog ears and long claws. disappear. Iris and her kwami, Fang, appear, and Iris collapses; I catch her before her head hits the ground and I carry her home.
In the distance, I can make out Ladybug's silhouette, I continue to walk with my beautiful Iris in my arms. After a week of continuous searching, I've finally found her and bringing her home.
~Ladybug's POV~
I watch as Chat Noir carries a girl, I can't make out her features but I can see that he cares deeply about her. Anger swords inside of me, I envy that girl. Always having his attention. Is she the girl he loves? My teeth clench together as I slowly form a plan to make Chat Noir mine. Iris stole Adrien from me, and now some girl catches Chat Noir's attention. I begin to follow him to a house. A-Adrien's house? What is he doing there? I quickly flee the scene before anyone sees me.
I will have Chat Noir mine.
~Iris's POV~
My head hurts, I feel something comfortable and soft underneath me. Where am I? Where is Chat Noir? I force my eyes to open slowly, the dimmest light making me squint slightly; I glance around the room, my vision still blurry. I spot a pair of emerald green eyes, and automatically, my vision only focuses on them. Soon, facial features come into focus: silky blond hair, a kind smile, rosy cheeks, and pink lips. I feel my hand being squeezed lightly, I glance down and see that his hand is on mine.
Adrien?
"Hey, beautiful. You're awake." His smile grows brighter somehow.
How long was I gone? I attempt to speak, however, my throat is dry and stiff.
He hands me a glass of cold water. I gulp it down so fast; I look around for Fang.
"He's sleeping in my room, baby. Don't worry." He smiles once again.
I nod and finally form a few words. "How long..." I trailed off, due to my throat stinging.
"A week, you disappeared after we found Ladybug, and I found you a few days ago."
A week? I was gone for a week? This is not good. If I was gone for a week, a great evil will awaken, originating in Egypt and spread throughout the world. Starting with Paris...
"Something...terrible...will happen... Need to...protect...Paris..." I take a breath between each word.
"From what?" He asks, handing me a refilled glass with water.
I take a refreshing sip. "A great evil will awaken, it'll come to Paris from Egypt, and then it'll make this world we know, disappear."
We have to be on our guard. It'll take more than miraculous items to defeat this evil. We need powerful magick. Ancient Egyptian magick. Hopefully, that'll be enough to put this monster to rest for good.
