Shiki was exiled immediately after I woke up. Everything was peaceful afterward. There were several celebrations during the rest of our time in Egypt.

Today, Adrien and I return home to Paris. We pack our bags and head out to the plane. The Priest sees us off and soon, I leave my home behind once again; the beautiful sun reflects against the golden sand, and my city slowly disappears.

"Iris, are you alright?" Adrien asks in a small voice, his hand squeezes mine gently.

"It's just... I'm leaving my people again. I feel like I'm abandoning them." I whisper, looking out the window, saying goodbye to my beautiful country again.

Adrien and I decide to rest a bit during the flight; once the plane lands, Gorilla and Natalie are there to greet us.

"How was your trip?" She asks.

"It was amazing!" Adrien exclaims. "It's so open, everything is golden colored, like ancient Egypt we learned a while ago. The people are so kind, and respectful. The city is wonderful, too, very different from here." He explains to Natalie.

I smile at Adrien, "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."

We finally head home and when we arrive at Adrien's house, Mr. Agreste is there to greet us at the bottom of the staircase.

"Welcome home, son." He smiles a faint, welcoming smile.

"Hello, father." Adrien smiles back at him.

"Hope you enjoyed your trip with Princess Iris."

"Yes, we enjoyed ourselves," I say. " Thank you, Mr. Agreste." I bow slightly.

"Go and get settled in and rest. Tomorrow you two have a photoshoot." He leaves for his office.

Adrien and I go to our rooms and unpack; Fang flies into my face and hugs me.

"I am glad you didn't get hurt any more than you already were, Iris."

I giggle and hold him in my hands. "Me, too, Fang."

After Adrien and I unpacked, we go into his room and watch television until we both eventually fall asleep; his arms are wrapped protectively around me on his bed. I snuggle closer to him, my face buried in his chest.

In her dream

The scenery changed from darkness to the throne room; my family laying on the cold floor in pools of red. My brother's head lays in my lap as I mourn for him.

"This is your fault, Princess." An eerie, masculine voice comes from the shadows.

"No, I didn't kill them," I whisper.

"On the contrary, Princess, you are the reason they are dead." The body that holds the voice steps from the shadows.

My brother, Atemu stands before me, unscathed. I look down and his body is gone; I look back up.

"Brother, I didn't do this to Mother and Father." tears roll down my face.

He laughs. "Of course, you didn't, Iris." He holds a bloody dagger. "I did. And then, I killed myself."

More tears run down my cheeks in thick streams. "Why, Atem? Why would you do that?"

"Why? Because I couldn't stand being your brother and always having to be your shadow. I was so fed up with you, Iris. You are the reason why I killed our parents, you are the reason why I killed myself."

He holds the dagger to his throat, slicing it open. I cry out a stomach-churning scream.

"ATEMU!!NO!"

End of her dream

I wake up in tears, my body shoots up from being positioned with Adrien. He wakes up as well, automatically wrapping his arms around my shaking body.

"Iris, are you okay?" His voice is filled with worry.

"Y-yes. I'm fine. Go b-back to sleep, love." I stutter, scared to tell him about my dream.

It felt so real like I was reliving the pain I felt that day.

"Are you sure? I can stay up with you if you'd like." He kisses my shoulder.

I nod. " I'll be going back to bed soon myself. Don't let me keep you awake."

I get out of bed and he lays back down, quickly falling asleep. I got to the large windows and stare into the night; the sky was so clear it reminds me of the nights Atemu would wake me up and we would go outside to clear our heads. Tears stream down my face silently. Atemu, how I miss you.

"Iris, are you alright?' Fang lands on my shoulder.

I shake my head. "No, Fang, I'm not alright. I miss Atem, my parents, my home. It's my fault they're dead." I hiccup.

"Iris, sometimes we can't control these things. It was their time."

"Then, why didn't the murderer kill me, too?"

"I don't know, but all I know is that you were destined to be here and with Adrien. Whether he admits it or not, he needs you to fill in that void in his heart. He doesn't want to lose you, Iris. He loves you a lot. And I love you, too."

I look back at Adrien's sleeping figure; his hair slightly on his face, his lips partly open, a little drool coming out of the corner of his mouth. I smile, knowing that I am his, and he is mine.

"I'm going to bed, good night, Iris." Fang flies over to the trashcan.

I stifle a laugh and climb back into bed beside Adrien. His arms wrap around me again.

"I love you, Iris Ishtar. So much, it hurts to think that I almost lost you." His green eyes open and look into mine.

"I love you, too, Adrien Agreste." I peck his lips and snuggle into his warm, comforting body.

This is my bliss. My heaven. Maybe Fang is right, I am destined to be here with Adrien. Not only does he need me, but I also need him.
