His Queen

Chapter 30

~Adrien's POV~

It's been a few years since Iris came into my life, I'm now 18 years old and she's 17--turning 18 in a week-- and very soon about to graduate. Right now Iris and I are walking in the park with her dog, which she named Yami--means Darkness; Yami is a black Great Dane, with golden eyes. We see Alya and Nino, Yami's ears perk up when he sees them, and runs to them, tackling Alya to the ground while licking her face. We laugh as Yami is pushed off of her but he continues to try to lick her face.

"Yami," Iris says sternly.

He looks back and comes to stand by Iris's right side. He's a well-behaved dog, trained to protect his family, and he's great with kids. Nino glances at me as if to say when are you going to propose? I chuckle and shake my head. I'm planning in proposing to her on her birthday. It'd be a nice gift for her, I smile at the thought.

Alya and Iris sit under a tree while Yami play with Nino. I lay my head down on Iris's lap, her fingers run through my hair. I wish I could stay like this all day. I lightly hum in delight as Iris plays with my hair. I stare at her features; her beautiful dark hair framing a tan slim face, her twinkling jade green eyes reflecting the sun's beams, her laugh is a wonderful sound--a sound I'd love to hear every day--and her perfectly plump lips that I love kissing.

"Adrien, what are you staring at?" Alya call me out.

I blush and turn away. "N-nothing."

"I bet he was staring at you, Iris." She pouts at my girlfriend.

She giggles. "That wouldn't surprise me one bit. He's always staring at me."

She continues to play with my hair, causing me to hum in satisfaction. Other voices can be heard, I glance over to Nino and Yami to see them surrounded by our other friends--including Chloe. I stand up and help Iris up. Chloe spots me and she runs to me.

"Adrikins!" She wraps her arms around my neck and attempts to kiss me.

~Iris's POV~

Chloe is so annoying! I clean my throat and peel her off of my boyfriend. I glare at her and she at me; I only tolerate this girl because of Adrien, if he wasn't here, she would be--

"Hey, Iris." Rose hugs me and distracts me from the menace ahead.

"Hi, Rose." All of our friends hug me and greet us.

Juleka, Kim, Rose, Max, Nathanaël, Ivan, Mylene, and Alix gather around and we talk about random topics, Chloe is still flirting with Adrien, and that angers me. White light starts to form in my left hand, the fiery anger fueling the light.

Adrien sees this and runs over to me. "Iris, calm down, baby. Chloe isn't doing anything I don't want her to do."

I glare at him with my piercing eyes, shooting daggers at him. I stand up and walk away from the group.

"Yami, come," I call my dog and I pet his head once he's by my side.

I walk out of the park with him at my side, leaving Adrien and that skank, Chloe Bourgeois. I need time to cool down, time away from all of this. Maybe my uncle will be okay with me coming home for a while. I need a breather from all of this chaos.

I go to the Agreste Manor and knock on Gabriel's office door. I tell Yami to stay outside of the office.

"Come in." A masculine voice is heard from the other side of the door.

I peek inside. "Excuse me, Mr. Agreste? Can I have a moment of your time?"

He sits at a computer and looks directly at me. "Of course, Iris. What can I help you with?"

I take a deep breath and walk in and sit in front of him. "Sir, I'd like to go back to Egypt for a bit."

He nods as if he understands. Maybe he does? "I'll arrange the flight in a few days from now."

I smile happily, "thank you, Mr. Agreste." I run out of the office and up to my room.

Fang flies out of my jacket. "Why are we going back to Egypt, Iris?" His cute silver ears perk up.

"Just to get away from here. Plus I need time away from Adrien. What he said earlier really set my anger into motion." I pull out a few bags and pack some clothes and other necessities for my trip.

In a few days, I'll be back home for a bit, hopefully, Adrien doesn't try to come with me again. I'm doing this to get away from him.

~time skip- around dinner time~

Adrien came home about an hour ago, and I ignored him and his lame attempts to talk to me. I'm in my room texting Alya when all of a sudden, a loud crash comes from outside. I fight the instinct to go help Adrien and Ladybug; they'll be fine without me, I'm sure. They were doing just fine before I came into the picture. Maybe I won't use my Miraculous but my Egyptian power instead.

I transform and leap from my window onto a roof. I notice that my outfit has changed somehow. White pants, a tight white shirt with a waist-length black fur cape, and a pair of knee-high black boots. I feel a different crown on my head, its peak is pointing down on my forehead and my hair is white and a section of it is braided.

I continue to run and spot Chat Noir running in the same direction as me, I glance at him and he's staring at me; I look away and run even faster.

We both stop at the school, where a strange dark aura is detected. Ladybug lands next to Chat Noir, and he smiles at her. I roll my eyes and charge toward the school, ignoring Chat's warnings to stay back. Why would I listen to that cheater? I mean, he let Chloe flirt with him IN FRONT OF ME!!

I focus on the task at hand, running into the school to see five Anubis guardians, they surround a tall figure in a long black cloak, he resiting some ancient Egyptian words. A spell?!

My eyes widen in fear, I back away from the scene undetected, running back to Ladybug and Chat Noir.

"What's wrong?" Chat asks.

"It's dangerous for you two to be here, please leave. This is something only I can handle with." I pant, my breathing increasing drastically.

I can hear my heart rate in my eats. What is this? What's going in with me? Everything is fading into blackness. I can barely hear Chat's velvety voice calling out to me.
