Chapter 12

~Iris's POV~

Adrien and I have another photoshoot today at the Eiffel Tower. And, after the shoot, we plan on going on a date later. As usual, I got to my trailer and put this on:

When I climb down the stairs of the trailer, I see Adrien with a dark green shirt, a black jacket, and a pair of dark blue jeans. Oh my Ra, he looks amazing. I am so lucky! I hurry to his side and start posing with him.

Finally, we're done for today. I hurry and change my clothes.

Adrien grabs my hand as we walk around the city, and we get ice cream and continue to walk around Paris. We decide to go to the zoo for a bit and talk about anything and everything. He drags me to a black panther, I've never seen a panther before.

The creature is beautiful, her gorgeous golden eyes look at me, and continue to stare at me; its slick black fur shines in the sun. I've never seen such a beautiful creature before.

"Isn't she a beauty?" A man asks.

The zoo's caretaker admires the panther. Adrien and I agree with him, we moved on to the next animal, the wolves.

~Adrien's POV~

As we walk toward the wolves, Iris's kwami, Fang, pokes his tiny furry head out of her backpack. Plagg pokes his head out of there too, curious as to what Fang is doing.

"I think wolves are amazing creatures." Iris states. "They're smart, loyal, and protective. They're also very beautiful." She admires the animals.

I can't help but watch her and think how she's so much like the wolves; I entwine my fingers with hers, enjoying the warmth her hand gives me. She's so loyal, protective of our friends and me, she's cunning, and she puts everyone else before her.

I watch her as her green eyes sparkle with happiness. the wind barely wisps by us, making her dark hair shine and wave behind her. The corners of her mouth turn up into a small smile, her eyes so focused on the beautiful animals in front of us.

She turns toward me and I smile. I want to take her out on an official date. Right now. "Do you want to get a bite to eat?"

She nods, "what is there?"

I pull her towards a restaurant with beautiful pink and white roses making an arch above the doorway.

~Iris's POV~

The interior of the restaurant is spectacular: the walls are a light ocean blue, with white roses framing the windows, the tables are round and covered with a white cloth, and a vase filled with pink flowers sits in the center of the table.

My eyes widen in awe, I've never been to a restaurant before so this is my first time. I've realized that most of my firsts are set here in Paris. I wouldn't be doing any of this in Egypt. Adrien pulls me to a far table away from the people.

"Adrien, this place is beautiful." I stare around me in complete awe.

He chuckles. "Well, I'm glad you like it. I've been wanting to take you here for a while now. I figured that this would be a perfect place for our official first date." he winks at me.

I blush and then giggle. A waiter gives us menus, I don't understand why he did because Adrien orders for me. I start to blush again--how does he have such an effect on me?

A loud booming sound comes from outside, everyone runs and hides as Adrien and I go to transform.

"Fang, tail out!" "Plagg claws out!"

We transform and run outside to see a girl with fox ears. She spots us and lands in front of us.

"Hey, kitty, nice to see you again." She winks at him.

A sudden fire spreads through my body. "Who are you?"

She looks at me in disgust. "I'm Volpina. And you are?"

I growl. "Silver Wolf." I grab Chat's hand as I walk away from that girl.

"Wolfie, are you alright?" Chat whispers, knowing Volpina is behind us.

I shake my head, turning abruptly. "Sorry, to burst your stalking bubble, but Chat Noir and I can handle this, alone," I say narrowing my eyes at her.

She smirks. "Whatever, get yourselves killed, honestly I'm just looking for Adrien Agreste."

I rolled my eyes, "don't you know he has a girlfriend?" Don't slap her, don't slap her.

She laughs. "Not for long."

I scoff," whatever, foxtrot." I walk away with Chat on my tail.

"I have so many questions for when we get back from fighting," I say to Chat.

He nods and we run toward where the sound is coming from.
The school is on fire! My wolf senses kick in as I run into the burning building. A few teachers are stuck in there. No kids, thank goodness but I need to get the adults out and fast.

"Silver Wolf!" Chat calls out to me.

I can barely see with all of this black smoke and flames targeting me. I cough and cover my mouth and nose with my suit. My ears catch a sound.

"Help!" A female and male voice scream behind a door.

I run and tell them to get back. I sprint toward the door and knock it down; I grab the adults and push them out of the room. As we reach the stairs, the top few steps break underneath my feet. I look for another way out I can't seem to find out except the roof and the entranceway I used to get in here. The thick dark smoke covers my eyes. I decide to hold onto the adults and jump the staircase. I run towards the door and I sense a bar is about to fall into my path. I throw the teachers out of the building.

"So noble of you to save those lives, Silver Wolf." A familiar voice speaks through the thickness of the smoke.

No, it can't be.
