~Iris's POV~

"You can't just leave like this, Iris!" Fang's small voice breaks.

I sigh. I don't want to leave, but I know this is for the best.

"Fang, I'm sorry. But, to keep everyone safe, I have to leave Paris." Plus, I have some unfinished business to tend to in Egypt.

I change my clothes to the Royal dress. I finish putting my clothes in the suitcases. I look around the room, and a picture of Adrien catches my attention. I grab it and feel stingy tears starting to flow down my face. I wipe away the tears and put the picture of Adrien and me in my purse. I don't want to forget about him. I'll always love him more than anything.

I grab my phone and my suitcases, walk out of the room and down the stairs; I hug Mr. Agreste and thank him for taking me in.

"Adrien is going to be heartbroken when he finds out--"

"You're leaving?" Adrien comes down the staircase and I can see a thick stream of salty tears running down his face.

"I have to, Adrien. For everyone's safety." I look away as I hold in my tears.

He runs to me and embraces me tightly. The warmth of his arms gives me another heartbreaking memory.

"Please don't leave me. If you leave, I'll leave, too." He whispers.

"Adrien, please..." I trail off.

"No, if you leave. then I'll leave with you. I can't imagine my life without you, Iris." He sniffles.

I sigh. I'll let him come with me to Egypt for a bit. But then, we'll come back after. I'll come back to Paris for not only Adrien but Fang as well.

"Fine, you can come with me. I need to go back to Egypt for a few things. So, that's where we'll be going." I sigh in defeat.

"Adrien, go pack some necessities. For at least 5 months' worth. I'll call the school and let them know you two will be gone for a while." Natalie says in a monotone.

He nods and I wait for him by the door, along with my bodyguard. Adrien comes down the stairs with a few suitcases. Gorilla puts them in the trunk along with mine and we are on our way to Mr. Agreste's jet.

*time skip brought to you by Adrien's green eyes❤* ~Adrien's POV~

We finally land in Egypt, the heat here is dangerously hot. But, it's beautiful, the way the sun dances along with the city, the architecture of Iris's home is different. It looks like ancient buildings; it's different than Paris, that's for sure.

Iris and I walk to a platform and we both sit down as the four people lift us and walk us to Iris's home. I can hear whispering, and see people point or look in our direction.

"Don't mind them, Adrien. They're just surprised that a man is with their princess." Iris continues to look forward, grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

"Okay, so why are we here?" I whisper to her.

"I need to see to that Shiki gets his punishment for kidnapping me." She sighs.

So that's where his body went that day she was kidnapped.

"Shiki was my childhood friend, he was always there to protect me when something bad happened. He's the Priest's son. The Priest was a good friend of my father. He's the one who suggested I leave my home into hiding. He's like the uncle I never had." She slightly smiles at the mention of the priest.

"Your Highness, we have arrived." one of the servants announces.

I get out first and then hold out my hand for her to take, she rests her soft hand in mine as she climbs out gracefully. A middle-aged man stands at the top of the stairs, dressed in odd clothing. Iris hurries up the stairs and hugs the man. Is that priest?

"It's wonderful to see you again, Princess Iris, despite the circumstances." He smiles down at Iris.

"It's good to see you too, Priest." She holds my hand, "this is Adrien Agreste, my lover." She squeezes my hand gently.

I blush a bright red as she says that. Lover? I like the sound of that, honestly.

The priest bows, "please to meet your acquaintance."

"Pleasure is all mine." I grin.

We walk into the large building, hieroglyphics cover the pillars and large statues stand in between them. It's like I'm in the ancient Egyptian times right now.

We walk into a large bedroom, which must be Iris's room.

"You will now stay in here with me, also change your clothes, please. I will be right back." She pecks my cheek.

~Iris's POV~

I leave to change in another room, according to the priest, a celebration is being held today in honor of my return. My servants help me slip on a beautiful black dress and everything else.

I leave the room to see if Adrien is dressed, I knock and then walk in to see Adrien wearing an outfit from one of the photoshoots we had together

He looks so handsome, his blonde hair in its usual style, his bright green eyes sparkling in the sunlight, I walk up to him and straighten out his tie.

"You look handsome, my love." I smile up at him.

He blushes, "I-thank you. You look beautiful as ever." He caresses my cheek gently.

I indulge in a lingering kiss with this man in front of me before we link arms and walk down to the throne room. I sit where my mother once sat and Adrien sits in my father's spot; nobody dared to stop him, because everyone knows he is my lover. Our fingers interlock together as the ceremony begins. My people greet me and I greet them. They begin to dance traditional dances our ancestors danced; I smile as my people have fun and enjoy themselves. They haven't had this much fun since...
