Ally and Charles were having so much fun. At the intermission they went to get food from the concession stand. Ally couldn't remember the last time she had smiled so much. Life couldn't seem to get any better.
Charles couldn't remember the last time he had so much fun. It didn't seem to get much better than this.
As they began walking back to the concert one of the bands slow songs came on, "Hey, you wanna dance?" Charles looked over at Ally.
Ally hesitated, "I don't think you dance at concerts like this, you know what I mean?"
Charles grinned and held out his hand for Ally to take, "So what? We're not bothering anyone."
Ally looked around. There was no one in the hallway. Just them. It was quiet other than the music playing. She grabbed Charles hand and they began dancing.
"See? Is it really that bad?" Charles said.
"I guess not." Ally replied shyly, "someone's gonna walk by and see us."
"So what?" Charles said confused.
"So they will think we are weird!" Ally replied.
"That's not our problem. Who cares what they think?" Charles grinned.
Ally looked at him seriously, "But"
Before Ally could get another word out of her mouth Charles cut her off, "shhh" he whispered softly, "Lets not talk." Charles put his pointer finger up to Ally's lips.
She could feel her face getting more and more red. Her mind was racing and her heart was pounding. Her stomach fluttered with excitement and nervous energy. Oh what she wanted to tell him but couldn't.
When the song ended Ally and Charles looked at each other for a little while, Ally broke the silence, "I'm gonna go to the vending machine. Wait here for me, okay?"
Charles nodded and Ally turned around. The vending machine was around the corner a ways. When she got there she grabbed her wallet and took out some money. She put it into the machine and typed in the number 13. She looked around her and saw a guy around 20 years old. He was looking at her in a strange way. He stood up and began walking in her direction. The bottle dropped down and Ally leaned over and stuck her hand in the machine to get it.
Ally opened the cap and just as she did a tight grip on both her arms made her drop the bottle and water spilt all over the floor, "Let me go!" Ally remained calm but inside her heart was pounding a million beats per second.
"Not until you give me you money! Now! Empty your pockets!" It wasn't Charles, it wasn't anyone she seemed to know, Ally looked around for the guy who had walked by her but he was no where in sight. Which meant.... he was the one grabbing her.
"Let go of me!" She said a little louder, struggling to get her arms free.
The guy covered her mouth and held both her hands with one hand. Ally tried to yell but now that her mouth was covered no one would be able to hear her.
Ally then realized that her foot was positioned in just the right place. She only had one shot and if she missed that would be it. She quickly kicked up her heel and slammed it into the guys groin.
"AAAHHH!!!" He let go of Ally and leaned over in pain but quickly recovered, "WHAT THE HECK!!!!" He grabbed her and slammed her against the vending machine.
"I told you to let go of me!!!! That's what you get!!! You deserved it!!!" Just as Ally said that Charles came running around the corner. He had heard the commotion and got worried.
He paused for a moment but quickly regained confidence, "Let go of my girlfriend.... Now!!!!!"
