Chapter two : John Grimm

Angelica P.O.V :

I woke up in the early morning , not that I wanted to , but sleeping under the bed isn't exactly my thing , I sit up but hit my head in the bottom of the bed " Oww " I cried .

I finally got from under the bed , I could now see the room clearly as the sun rays get in the room and lightened it , there was a small bed in the middle of the room a small cupboard in the right corner of the room a big navy blue rug that connected between the cupboard and the bed the walls were painted cream white , it's so lovely .

I went out of the room and closed the door behind me when suddenly I found a man laying on the couch , I froze .

He stood up from the couch when he heard me getting out of the room .

"Who are you ? " he growled as he approached me .

"I...I...." I opened my mouth to talk but I couldn't , I felt like I had no sound I couldn't say any word or any thing , I just kept looking at him .

He was a tall man about 6'4" feet , his eyes were blue , he had a white hair and a beard , He looks like he is in 50s.

"I said who are you" he repeated but in a higher tone this time , I was so scared that I still couldn't talk , I just felt tears rolling down my cheeks and found myself on my knees on the ground sobbing .

I could feel him coming closer to me he knelt down beside me put a hand on my shoulder " Ssshhh...don't cry I won't hurt you" .

With these words I looked at him with my teary eyes and started to calm down , he stood up and gave me a hand I took it and stood up as well , he guided me to the couch he was laying on and sit me down and sat beside me , now I could feel that I can talk again .

"I am so sorry sir" I started " I just found that house and I needed a place to hide in , they were after me and I didn't know what to do so I just get in your house to hide till they go but I just felt asleep while I was hiding under the bed" I could feel myself starting to cry again .

"Who ?" He asked "Who was running after you ?" He clarified .

" I think they were bandits , I was traveling with my family when they got in our way they killed them all , my father,my mother,my little sister , all of them , I just found myself running away and they were after me , I was so scared so when I found your house I just slipt in it"

He didn't show any expression on his face nor spoke a word until I stood up .

"Where are you going?" he finally talked .

"I don't know"

"Don't you have anyone in your family , a relative to go to ?" he asked with concern in his voice .

"No , we were a just a small family of 4 persons , I don't know anyone else to go to" I answered .

"Do you have a job ?" He asked again .

"No sir "

"Do you think that I am a heartless man ?" He asked in a bit of roughness in his voice .

I looked up at his face immediately straight to his eyes "No..no..no sir" I answered quickly .

"So then , do you really think that I am going to let , a young lady with no family or a job or even a place to live in , while I can help her " he said and I was astonished by his talk .

"Wh..what do you mean ?" I asked .

"I mean that I am not letting you go , what if someone attacked you out there , and even if no one attacked you how and where are you going to live ? look young lady I am an old man and my son and daughter left for their work they only come to visit a little and my wife dead years ago" he said

"I am sorry for that sir"

"Oh ! Don't be sorry it's not your fault" he said "anyway as I was saying I live alone and I would like someone to live with me , and as you don't have any where to live , why don't you just live here with me , you may consider me as a father of yours " with that he finished his talk and I immediately look at him with a big grin on my face .

"Oh my God ! Thank you sir , thank you so much , and it's an honor for me to be a daughter for such a kind man like you , thank you , thank you so much " I said that with hope rising me .

"Oh no need to thank me , I would like someone to accompany me "

"Oh thank you so much sir , and I promise to obey you and listen to every single word you say , to help you in your work if you wanted me to , and I will clean the house every day if you wanted me to , and everything you say I will do without asking" I said enthusiastically .

"Very well then , I think that I have a new daughter" he said and I chuckled .

"You know what young lady , you still didn't answer my question"

"What question sir" I asked confused .

"Who are you ?"

"Oh ! Right...my name is Angelica"

"What an aptly named , it really suits you"

"Thank you sir" I answered politely " and What's yours ?" I asked .

"John Grimm , my name is John Grimm"
