Chapter Fourteen : The plan

Adam P.O.V :

I could hear someone crying , I tried to open my eyes several times but failed then it was silent again , I think I lost conscious again .

The sobbing was heard again and I knew who it was , Maria , my older sister , we are too close unlike me and Parker , the difference between me and Maria is only one year , but between me and Parker is seven years .

Beside the sobbing sound there was murmuring , but I couldn't get what they were saying , again I tried to open my eyes and began to see light .

When I opened my eyes I was in my room on my bed , Maria was sitting beside me crying , one of her hands were wiping the tears from her eyes , and the other was holding and caressing my hand , she wasn't looking at me so she didn't see me opening my eyes .

"Maria" I nearly whispered in a faint voice .

She turned her attention towards me and gave me a big smile "Adam" she said between her sobs wiping her tears from her cheeks , then turned her gaze from me to where she was looking before "Parker he is awake" she shouted calling Parker .

I suddenly felt like my chest was crashing I put the hand that Maria wasn't holding on my heart and squeezed Maria's hand from pain "AAAHHHHHH" I yelled rolling on the bed from the pain .

"Adam you okay , what's wrong with you , Adam please say anything" I felt Maria starting to panic .

"Doctor what's wrong with him , you said he should be okay when he wake up again" Parker nearly yelled at him .

"Shut up Parker ,  let the doctor help him and don't distract him" Maria shouted at Parker as she took a step back to leave a space for the doctor to examine me , but then everything turned black again .

I don't know for how long I was unconscious , but it was night when I woke up , Parker was sitting on the couch crossing his arms and his head was thrown back he was sleeping , on the other hand Maria was sitting on a chair beside my bed holding my hand with her two hands and resting her head on the bed and I could tell she was asleep too .

I cleared my throat "Parker , Maria" my voice was very weak that I nearly didn't hear myself , but they did , their eyes opened widely , Parker stood from the couch and ran to my side , Maria had tears in her eyes and she held my hand tighter .

"Water...water" I said weakly , Parker ran and got me a glass of water , Maria helped me to sit and drink the water "thanks Parker"

"I will call for the doctor" Parker said as he stood up and walked towards the door .

After a few minutes he turned back with the doctors , Maria let go of my hand and stepped back to let the doctors examine me again , after a while they finished examining me and go out of the room , Maria and Parker came and sit beside me on the bed again .

"Adam , you have to tell us now all what had happened to you" said Parker seriously .

"Parker it's not the time for that talk , let him rest , don't you see how pale his face is" objected Maria pointing at my face .

"Maria we have to know what happened to him before father's return" argued Parker .

"But we know what happened , that princess accused him for kidnapping her , I swear when I put my hands on he..." Maria said but I raised my hand to stop her from talking .

"That's not what had happened , on the contrary she is the one who helped me to escape" I told her and they looked at me if I was a crazy person .

"That's impossible , why would someone like her , with an awful personality , help you , for them we are enemies , I doubt that she helped you, you must have hit your head" argued Maria .

I was about to argue back but Parker stopped me "Stop it both of you , Adam you have to tell me what happened to you since you disappeared from the castle till you came back here again , and NOW before father return back home"

"Where did father go ?" I asked .

"He had a few work to do outside the country , I sent him a letter that we found you , he must be here soon , now tell me" he clarified .

I started and told them how I escaped and hid in that cottage and my work with the traders and how I met Angelica and everything else , and I could tell that they were both shocked from my explanation .

"Oh my God , father must not know anything about this , he must never know that you escaped , or we won't know what he would do" Maria panicked .

"Maria is right , if father knew that you escaped , there won't be a happy end" Parker agreed .

Unfortunately they were right , he may disclaimed me "then what are we going to him ?" I asked .

"Let me think of something" Parker said as rubbing his forehead .

"I got it" said Maria clapping her hands "we would tell father that he went out hunting , lost his way till he found himself in the other kingdom , their princess was having a walk , she saw him , throw an arrow on him , drugged him , then tortured him till death but at the last moment our eye in their castle helped him to escape" she explained to us her crazy plan and we both have that 'Really' look on our faces and raising our eyebrows in amazement , she looked at our expressions for a second then said "what ! I thought it was a good idea" I couldn't help but laugh a faint laugh at her crazy plan , that makes her smile .

"Okay now we listened to that crazy , illogical plan" said Parker looking at Maria "now we need a good , logical excuse for Adam's disappearance"

"I got it" said Maria clapping her hands again but this time Parker put her hands down .

"No you didn't 'got it' " he said making a quotation on 'got it' with his hands "we need a good plan not a fairy tale" he said and Maria rolled her eyes at him .

"Well , I think I got it this time" I said and they looked at me "listen , we would say that I went out hunting ..."

"Hey , that's my plan" interrupted Maria .

"Shut up Maria" Parker nearly shouted "go on Adam"

"As I was saying we would say that I went out hunting ALONE , found some soldiers from the other kingdom trying to get inhere , I tried to stop them but since I was ALONE , I couldn't stand them all , they hit me in head which made me to lost conscious , they took me and tortured me to death but our eyes in their castle saved me at the last minute"

"That's a very good idea" said Parker , then he looked at Maria "AND LOGICAL" and Maria rolled her eyes at him .

"I missed you guys , and I am sorry for leaving you like that and running away" I told them looking away to not meet their eyes "I really feel ashamed of what I have done"

"Don't be ashamed Addy , you have a soft heart just like mother , and we didn't look after you enough , you know you look to much like her" said Parker putting a hand on my shoulder .

"Ouch , easy on me big brother , my shoulder still hurts" and he immediately took his hand away .

"Sorry" he apologized .

"So now , do you know what to tell father when he come back ?" I asked seriously

"Yup , all in here" said Maria as putting her index finger on her head , mentioning to her brain .

"Very good then , now we will leave you to have a rest" said Parker and he was about to stand up , but we were interrupted by the open of the door .
