Chapter nineteen : The surprise

Adam P.O.V :

A month passed from the four months , I was improving fast , I was in my room with Maria .

"Maria , what do you think Parker's surprise is ?"

"I don't know , maybe medicine to cure you faster"

"Really" I said sarcastically raising an eyebrow .

"Don't look at me like that , he didn't tell me anything , he just passed by this morning saying to stay with you when the night falls because he has a surprise for you , he didn't want to tell me what it was , I don't know why" she shrugged her shoulders .

"Cause he knew that you don't keep your big mouth closed and you will just tell me all of"

"Hey that's rude , I don't do that , I mean I can keep a secret" she defended herself .

"Really ?"

"Yea , I could keep a secret for a whole hour , can you do this , I bet not" I couldn't help but laugh at her .

"You know what , you're right I can't keep a secret for a whole hour"

She kept silent for a minute as if she was concentrating on something "what's wrong with you ?" I asked her .

"Sshhh" she whispered raising a hand to stop me from talking , she went through my sword and held it .

"Maria , you're starting to scare me"

"There are sounds , coming from the secret passage of your room , don't you hear it ?" she whispered to me .

I tried to listen and she was right "go and call the guards now" I told her but she didn't move a leg "what's wrong , go now"

"I won't leave you here alone with whoever is coming , I am sure they're not so many , I will protect you baby brother" she said and I rolled my eyes at her silliness .

"Then both of us will die , now ...." I didn't finish my words when the door of the secret passage opened , Maria stood behind the door so whoever he was didn't see her , he was wearing a cloak and it's hood covered his face , it was Parker , Maria raised the sword in her hand and was about to hit him and she did hit him , thank God that she wasn't a very good warrior then he would be dead .

"Ouch , what the hell , it's me your brother Parker" he said as he took the hood of his face , Maria ran towards him helping him to stand up "why did you do that ? You don't even know how to use a sword"

"Sorry , I thought you were the bad person" she explained and the sword still in her hands .

"What's wrong why are you looking at me like that ?" He asked her , her face was as white as a sheet and her eyes widen , she wasn't looking at Parker but at the secret passage .

She raised the sword again pushed Parker away and ran towards the passage's door , a hand with a sword was out of the passage , my eyes widen "Parker there is someone over there"

The hands with that swords with one move made Maria drop her sword , but didn't fought her or anything .

Parker stood there watching and a smile on his face "what's wrong with you won't you help your sister ?" I yelled at him .

"Maria would you please stop this , no one would harm us" he explained as he moved her away from the door , after she dropped her sword she just stood there looking at the passage like a statue "okay it's safe now you may enter" Parker said looking at the passage .

"You" I said narrowing my eyes when I saw him .

"Not happy to see you either , but I have no other options" he snapped at me .

"Hansel would you please stop that , we should be grateful not rude" a familiar voice scolded him and he rolled his eyes .

"Angelica ?" my eyes widen when I saw her , I missed her so much .

"Hey Adam nice to see again , with less blood on your face" I laughed at her words .

"I didn't think you miss me that much to come and pay me a visit here , in my castle , where my father would probably kill you if he saw you"

"I told you it was a trap , they want to kill us , you know what Angelica you shouldn't trust people that fast" Hansel snapped out again but this time showing a sword in a hand and a knife in the other hand , at once Gretel put him down on the floor and punched him in face and took his weapons from him and put the knife on his neck 

"Hansel Grim , I told you before to stop that , they are helping us you need to apologize at once or believe me you won't like what would happen later" she scolded him .

"You wish , I'd never apologize to any of them" he snapped at her , she pressed the knife on his neck which made a cut on his neck and a few droplets of blood got out .

"No no no it's no problem he don't have to apologize just please stop the violence , I don't like blood" Maria suddenly interrupted their small talk , Gretel gave her a glare not leaving Hansel or moving away the knife from his neck .

"Both of you stop it now , I don't need children with me , we are in a serious problem , so stop those games NOW" Angelica shouted at them but not raising her voice but they didn't move "As your princess I order you to stop that now" she said but this time aggressively they listened to her at once .

"Sorry your highness" they said in union .

She sighed then looked at me "sorry about that" .

"Never mind , is he always like that ?" I asked pointing at Hansel .

"Only with people I dislike" Hansel snapped at me once more .

"Too harsh big boy" said Maria .

for my surprise he didn't answer her in a rude way or did anything to her just rolled his eyes "I am not a boy" that's all what he managed to say not even in that cold rude aggressive tone that he use to talke with us with .

  I looked at Parker and he has the same look that I have "You dislike us and like her ?" Parker asked in amazement .

"Why would you say that ?" He snapped at him backing to his rude way .

"Cause you answered her in a soft way but us in a rude way" said Parker .

"It's not soft way , just respect" he clarified still in his rude way .

"Why don't you respect us then ?" I asked him .

"Because I only respect women , are you a woman or something ?" still rude .

"Well stop it all of you , you're coming on my nerves , one more word and I will kill y'all" shouted Gretel out of no where .

"Geez calm down kitty" Parker said to her and she gave him a glare he pointed at me and said "don't look at me he said it" that makes me chuckle and I heard Angelica chuckle as well .

After a moment of silence and glaring Parker finally talked "Well Adam that's my surprise" he said putting a hand on my shoulder .
