Angelica P.O.V :
A week passed since I came back home , my ankle was completely healed now but my knee isn't but I still can walk on it , but no one know this even the doctors , I just keep telling them that I can't stand on it , anything to late Adam's execution day .
Gretel told me that my father is making a meeting today at 6 pm sharp , everyone will be attending the meeting , Hansel , Gretel , Pete , some of the important officials , even my mother , I should be attending too but as for my leg's condition I won't .
I waited for 6 pm and felt movings out of my room , when it was silent again I got out of the bed , grabbed one of the long black cloaks that I have , I kneeled down the bed and grabbed the bow and arrows .
"Owch" my knee hurt as stood up again . I opened the door slowly to not make a noise and headed towards the prison cells , I used the secret passages in the castle to go to the prison in order to not risk anyone seeing me , I finally got down there , I moved towards the last cell on the left , I'm sure he is there .
Adam P.O.V :
I could hear footsteps coming towards me , it must be Pete , I didn't know how long I have been here , but no one came here except him , my back was to the cell's door , I really didn't bother to turn around cause I knew he will just kick , punch , choke and cut me , I am sure that I have no features right now from all the bruises and blood spread all over my face .
I could feel him kneeling down beside me , my eyes were wide open when a cold trembling hands caressed mine and then unchained me , helped me to sit down .
"I am sorry" she said with teary eyes"I did that to help you , I had to come up with a plan to get you out of here"
"Does this plan include torturing me like that ?" I asked as rubbing my hands from the chains .
"I didn't knew that he would do that , Pete is the most kind hearted person I have ever met" she said breaking through her sobs "anyway we must hurry right now , we don't have much time" she said wiping her tears and standing up , she extended me her hand and I took it "come on let's go" she informed going out of the cell and I followed her , I couldn't walk properly neither she did , she was limping as I did too .
"Come on this way" she said pointing towards a wall .
"Really , are you making laugh of me" I asked annoyed .
"Do you think that I risk my safety and came down here with my broken knee to make a laugh of you" she said as pressing on a brick and a secret passage was opened .
"Brilliant"
"I know , now get in fast" she ordered .
When we got in she was holding a flame in her hand that lighten our way , there was things put on the side of the passage .
"Your maids really don't know how to clean , they left junk over there" I said pointing at the junk on the side of the passage .
"That's not our maid's junk , it's yours" she responded "here wear that cloak" she handed me a long black cloak.
"Is that your cloak ?" I asked as wearing it .
"How did you know ?"
"It has your perfume on it"
"If my perfumed cloak bother you I could take it back"
"Geez , calm down princess just joking"
"Now , take these your bow and arrows , some water and food , they should suffice you until you return back to your kingdom"
We walked till the end of the passage , then we found a wall "you guided us wrong , it's a dead-end"
"Look up" she said pointing up and there was a square shaped wooden trapdoor .
"And how do we suppose to get up ?"
"You are nearly 5 feet , if you just extend your hands up you'd open it"
"Fine" I sighed extending my hand up and opening the door "Done"
"Good , now get out , and help me when you do" I did as she said , we we were both out I found that we were in the stable .
"What are we doing here ? I thought that this passage will lead us outside the castle"
"Do you plan going back to your kingdom on your legs or you will use your wings and fly ?"
"Haha so funny" I said and she rolled her eyes .
"Hurry up the meeting will end soon" she said as getting out my horse .
"How come we didn't meet any guard till know ?"
"That's not your business , now concentrate , you will go throw this gate , keep walking straight forward until you enter the woods , then keep going straight until you find two ways the left one is the longer to your kingdom the other is shorter , take the longer way , is that clear ?"
"Why do I take the longer ?"
"Cause as soon as the meeting end I am sure that Pete will go and check up on you , he will order the guards to look for you everywhere if they went through this way they sure will go from the shorter route , you get it now ?"
"Too smart , you start scaring me"
"Stop that silly talk now , go before they know you are missing"
"Will you be okay?"
"Yea no one will suspect me , now go"
"Thank you for all what you have done to me"
"I am only apologizing for what I did to you , now go" with that I got up on my horse and started to go .
Angelica P.O.V :
I watched him as he disappeared it didn't take long .
"Oh God please protect him" I prayed then turned around and started to go back to the stables to use the secret passage to get back to my room again .
"Finally back again , I can't bear another minute standing" I cried as I closed the secret door and entered my room .
"Then why did you leave in the first place ?" I froze with fear when I heard that voice .
