Adam P.O.V :
We were interrupted by the opening door when my father , King Jacoub Lucas , entered the room , he get in the room and stood staring at me with no emotions in his eyes , uncomfortable silence filled the room , till Maria cut it .
"Father , welcome back , thank God you're safe" she said as she went to hug him , but he didn't answer her nor turned the hug back , just still staring at me .
"Leave us alone" that's what all he managed to say , please don't ,please don't go , I kept praying in my mind .
"But father , we didn't see Adam in a while , can we stay please" begged Maria , I swear you're the best sister ever .
He didn't answer her , just kept giving me death stares as if I was the one who begged , it wasn't me who begged it was her I kept thinking in my mind .
"Maria , I think it would be better , if we left them alone for a moment , we would be back again after they finish" Parker told her as he approached her taking her arm and got out of the room , worst brother ever , I thought to myself .
After they got out of the room and closed the door , he cleared his throat and started to talk "well young man , dear prince , I hope you give me an explanation for what happened to you , AND DON'T THINK OF LYING , cause simply as you know I know everything , and now explain please" he said as he sat on one of the two armchairs in front of my bed .
I cleared my throat and started to talk "well it all started when I couldn't sleep , so I thought of going out to hunt , and as you know hunting always calm me down" I started .
"Go on" he ordered , and I told him the story that we agreed on .
"Well son , do you know what that means ?" he asked as he stood up and approached me .
I was starting to get scared , wait I was already scared , my father always scared me , I shook my head and said "no father , what does it means ?"
"WAR , IF THEY THINK THAT THEY WOULD GET AWAY OF KIDNAPPING MY SON AND TORTURE HIM TILL DEATH WITHOUT GETTING A PUNISHMENT THEN THEY ARE WRONG" he shouted as he slapped him hand at the commode beside my bed , I think his sound was loud because Parker and Maria rushed into the room .
"What's wrong is everything okay ?" Maria asked looking at me and I could feel the panic in her voice .
"OF COURSE NOT EVERYTHING IS NOT OKAY , MY SON HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED AND TORTURED TILL DEATH , IF YOU THINK THAT'S OKAY , THEN YES EVERYTHING IS OKAY" he shouted sarcastically .
"Father please calm down , shouting won't solve anything" Parker tried to calm him down .
"I AM NOT SHOUTING , I AM SO CALM , ACTUALLY GO AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES SO WE COULD PLAY HIDE AND SEEK AND FORGET ABOUT YOUR BROTHER AND WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM , COME ON BOTH OF YOU HOW COULD YOU BE SO CALM ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BROTHER , IF OUR EYES IN THEIR CASTLE DIDN'T SAVE HIM HE WOULD PROBABLY BE DEAD NOW , AND THEY WON'T EVEN CARE TO BURRY HIM , WE NEED TO REVENGE FOR HIM AND TEACH THEM A LESSON" he shouted louder than before pointing at me , Parker went to close the door .
"Father I don't want revenge , I don't want war , I don't want anymore people die , why don't we sign a peace treaty with them , and start a new begging" I suggested , he looked at me with wide fury eyes , Parker and Maria looked at me surprised at my courage to say something like that .
"You must have hit your head , have you completely lost your mind , they are our enemies , no peace with them , only war , do you get it only war" he said that and he was heading towards the door .
