Angelica P.O.V :
The door of Adam's room was open , three men entered and from their clothes I could assume that the man in the middle was King Jacoub Lucas and the two other men behind him were his personal guards .
"You won't believe what just happ...." King Jacoub said as he entered the room , I was still standing in my place near the terrace , Hansel and Gretel were standing beside Adam's bed , Maria was sitting beside Adam , and Parker was standing beside Adam on the other side , he didn't finish his words as soon as he put his eyes on Hansel and Gretel , he didn't spot me yet "well well well , what do we have here ? Hansel and Gretel king Charles' personal guards and advisors" he said with a sly smirk on his face "GUARDS" he shouted and immediately his guards were on Hansel and Gretel lying on the floor , Maria gasped and clapped her hands to her mouth , put no seconds passed and Hansel and Gretel were the ones who are in the top of the guards , Hansel at once got his pocket knife out and pressed it on his attacker's neck , and Gretel did the same but she was cocking him with her forearm .
"Hansel , Gretel get off them now" I decided to appear , even after Parker gave me a look to hide , the king at once turned his gaze to me .
"But your highness..."
"No buts Gretel leave them at once" they got off the guards but Hansel still holding his knife in his hand .
"Princess Angelica , what a pleasure" said the king "may I ask what makes you come to my castle , in my kingdom , between my guards , and my whole army" the sly smirk still on his face , he was trying to scare me .
"I came here to ask for your help"
"And why should I help you ?"
"Look , I need your help to stop this war , to stop people from dying , there is no reason to keep this war between the two kingdoms , our grand grand parents started this war , I bet you even know what was the reason for this war , so just why don't we stop this war and sign a peace treaty" I said as I came nearer to him .
"You know what I think you are right , but unfortunately I couldn't accept your offer to stop this war and sign a peace treaty , especially after what happened to my son because of your cousin" he said pointing at Adam "you know if our eye in your castle didn't save him he would probably be dead now and we won't even know where his body is"
'Did he just say that their eye saved Adam ?' I thought to myself .
"Father there's something you should know" said Adam "our eye didn't save me , it was princess Angelica , she went againist her father's orders and helped me to escape although she had a broken knee but she saved me , gave me a horse and food and she told me the route back here....father I owe her , and I will help her and do whatever she asks me to do"
"And how do I know that you are telling the truth this time and not just lying to make me help her ?"
"He is telling the truth father , I swear he is" said Maria and her father looked at her right in her eyes as if he was searching for something .
He looked back at me "tell me everything and I will help you" he gave me a hand to shake , honestly I didn't know if I should trust him or not , I looked back at Adam and he gave me a nodd , I shook hands with the king and started to tell him everything .
"I never expected that Pete would do that" he said after I finished "but it's his father fault from the beginning , he killed my wife first so I just killed him"
"He killed her because she killed prince Harry and princess Helena , they were only 15 years , I was there and I saw them , I couldn't do anything back then , prince Harry was injured in his leg and princess Helena was helping him , but your wife cut the princess and the prince throats , that's why Pete's father killed her" explained Hansel in a bitter way .
"Whatever happened past is past , and we must start a new beginning" I said
"But they are your siblings , don't you want to revenge for them from me , don't you want to kill me ?" asked the king as if I had said something that's impossible to happen .
"Yes , I am sure...my siblings would want to stop this war as I do , I am sure they don't want anymore people to die"
"I will help you and you have my word , but if I knew that you are trying to trap me I will make you wish to die but won't have it , you get it ?" He threatened
"You should talk with the Queen with more respect" Hansel snapped at him and the king gave him a death stare , but knowing Hansel he won't be scared with just a death stare , he turned the stare but with a scarier one .
"Queen you say ?" he said turning his gaze to me "a queen that came to me begging me for help" he said slyly giving me an awful look .
'I feel insulted , Pete as soon as I put my hands on you you'll be dead for everything you did to me' I could feel that my face turned tomato red not with embarrassment but fury , my clenched my hands my nails digging to my palm so hard but I didn't care about the pain right now , I am worried about......
"HOW DARE YOU INSULTING OUR QUEEN" that I was worried about , furious Hansel , he was holding the king's collar with one hand and raising his fist of the other hand and ready to punch him but at once Gretel caught his fist and lowered it down and removed his other hand from the king's collar , she whispered something in his ear that made him back away from the king .
I glanced back at the king , he was tiding his clothes "loyal servants you have here Queen Angelica" he said looking at Hansel and I could feel that he was trying to control his anger .
"Not servants but more like friends and family" I corrected aggressively "and as well I respect you you ought to respect me and my friends is that clear or I must repeat myself ? And something else I . AM . NOT .THAT . DESPERATE . FOR . YOUR . HELP"
"Wow , I am impressed , like father like daughter , the same power , but with your mother's heart" he said calmly I could feel sense of fear in his voice but he tried as hard as he could to hide it .
"Father , we must stop this at once , Pete must be getting ready by now for the war ...." said Parker trying to stop the argument .
"Don't worry , he won't start the war before he capture me , he won't start anything before he finish me first" I explained .
"I have to say that I am with you whatever your plan is , cause unfortunately I owe you?" The king asked .
