"Well I'm happy for you" Shawn said. "Thanks" I replied. "So are you and Theo an item now? Or are you going as like friends?" He asked. "Um, I'm not sure, I guess as we're going prom we're a couple now?" I said. "Well I'm happy for you guys" Shawn said. "I need to go now but I'll see you around" Shawn added. "Yeah same" I said and then I ended the call. That was awkward.
SHAWNS POV:
Violet ended the call and I threw my phone on my bed. I can't believe Theo asked Violet to the prom, I already kinda told him I like her, he totally stabbed me in the back. I picked my phone up and called Theo up. "Hey" He said. "I heard you're taking Vi to the prom?" I asked. "Yeah" he replied. "After i told you I liked her?!" I asked angrily. "I totally forgot" Theo replied. "I'm sorry" he added. "I can unask her?" He offered. "No don't do that, that will hurt her because she obviously likes you, just leave it, it's fine" I said. "You sure?" He asked. "Yeah" I lied. I hung up and laid on my bed looking up at the ceiling as I thought about me and Violet at prom, dancing to the music, laughing together and having that amazing kiss during our slow dance, but that will never happen because she doesn't like me. How stupid was I thinking that she liked me, I'm just her best friend and that's all we are. Nothing more. "Hey so there's this party happening tomorrow, you should come" Geoff said to me over the phone a little later. "Who's is it?" I asked. "You know that girl Sophia? It's hers" he said. "Yeah sure I'll come" I said. "Have you asked everyone else?" I asked. "Yeah, they all agreed" Geoff replied. "Even Vi agreed?" I asked. "Yeah" he said back. "Did you hear that Theo is bringing her to prom?" I asked. "Seriously?" Geoff asked surprised. "Yeah" I replied hurt. "Didn't he know?" He asked. "Yeah he said he forgot" I replied. "You pissed at him?" He asked. "Of course I am, he's asked the girl I've liked for years to go prom with him, of course I'm fucking pissed" I replied. "Take someone to the party tomorrow" Geoff suggested. "Like who?" I asked. "Amelia" Geoff said. "Fine I'll take fucking Amelia Rose to the party" I said. "Great and at least pretend to like her" Geoff said, I could tell he had a smug smile on his face.
