Worry
It's sad but
sometimes it takes weeks
to get rid of it
once it caressed your cheeks
Its dark and
like a cloud it hangs
sending saturating shadows;
pouring rain til thunder bangs
It will sit next to you-
a deep depressing dream
Clutching your hand
A scared kid it may seem
But if you help it out
it becomes mean and malicious
It will leap and attack
Consume you like you're delicious
To Worry you are
like a meal or snack
It can eat you up
so you can't get back
It will torture you and haunt you
Gnaw your insides all day long
At the end it'll stick in your mind
like a somber, solemn song
