Hell-o

Mike walked with me to the choir room, and Kurt hitched in with us as we strode down the hallway side by side."I heard what happened this morning to you both. It wasn't just you guys. It was all of us. I was with Rachel and Mercedes when we got slusheed" Kurt explained holding his binder in his arm, entering the small room I now felt secured in.

"I'm sorry" I said before taking a seat near the back where Mike sat in the seat in front of me turning it to see and talk to me. Kurt sat down next to me and soon Tina joined us sitting next to Mike."What are we talking about?" she asked. She had a black beanie placed on her head and I actually liked it on her."How we all got slusheed this morning" Mike said in an exasperating breath. Tina shook her head just as the bell rang and Mr. Shu made his entrance. He went straight to the white board drawing a stick figure and a speech bubble reading 'hello'.

"Hello..." he trailed off looking around the room. I followed his gaze and noticed that Rachel had her arm wrapped around Finns."When did that happen?" I whispered to Kurt turning to Finn and Rachel."After Sectionals" he relied quickly before Mr. Shu repeated himself."What do you guys say when you answer the phone?" he asked walking up to the front."What up" Mercedes said first."Who dis be" Artie said. I held in a little giggle trying not to smile."No. she's dead this is her son" Kurt said sarcastically. My smile widened as Mr. Shu disregarded his students.

In the end we learned our assignment for this week is to sing a song with the word 'hello' in it. I ran a bunch of songs through my head listening to Mr. Shu talk. I ran song after song through my head but none seemed to fit. The bell rang and I walked off to math.

After school...

I told Andy to drive home. I wanted to stay back a little while and it didn't seem fair for him to wait in the truck for a whole hour. So he went home leaving Mike and I without a ride at school. I also noticed how tired he's been. With working out every single day twice a day. Then doing football practice half the week. Plus going on a diet he's not used to. I've been worried about him getting enough sleep so I told him to go ahead and go home and go get some sleep.

I made my way to Glee and found Finn sitting next to Rachel again. She was so obnoxious, just looking at her makes me want to punch her in the face, which is sad. Since I'm not that violent. I walked over and sat next to Artie again. We talked and Mike came in and sat down next to Matt who was in the back. Then Tina came in and sat next to me.

Mr. Shu said he would have this room unlocked for us. He wasn't coming and said if anything was stolen from school property then we'd be arrested at sight. The only people I didn't see were Santana and Brittney, and then Puck. We had this time to hang out and write and work out stuff with music. I gathered together my closest friends which were Artie, Mike, and Tina. We all crowed together at the bottom of the seats since Artie couldn't really get up to the top.

"So are any of you going to Matt's party?" I asked a little interested in the topic. Arose eyebrows quirked up,"Us?" Artie asked clarifying."Uh Yeah" I said as if obvious. "No. Gleeks like us. Don't do parties" Mike commented quietly and quickly as if he had been holding in his speech and wasn't allowed to speak."Oh come on. Matt, Mike, Finn, Puck" I paused naming everyone on the football team."They're gleeks. Plus they're on the football team. So... I don't see the problem. I'm going either way because of Andy-" I was cut off."Hold up! He's your brother!?" Artie asked as if he didn't already know. I giggled a little nodding my head, keeping eye contact with Artie and glancing to Kurt who happened to be closer to us than I realized, talking with Mercedes.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Hold up. As in Andrew Voss... the hottest guy in school Andrew Voss?" Kurt said with his cute little sarcastic tone. "Uhhhhh" I said in confusion."Hottest?" I squinted my eyes and closed my lips together to form a thin line. I sat on my hands looking up at Kurt."I don't know about that" I said with my voice getting a little bit higher in pitch.

"You are joking right? I just thought he was being nice to you since you are like dating Mike now" Kurt said. I was quick to speak and so was Mike."We aren't-" we both said at the same time but stopped as we saw both were talking at the same time. I laughed a little before finishing my sentence."We aren't together. He's just my best friend... and no Andy's my brother" I said to Kurt suddenly feeling really nervous and anxious. I sat back in my chair looking down at the blank notebook paper. I had a couple of songs but none sounded really intriguing.

I sighed and checked the time. Soon people began to drive home leaving only Finn, Mike, and myself. We all walked out together after I stacked the chairs and put the paper balls into the trash."I cannot wait for this seasons basketball team to win" Finn said to Mike. I stayed back a little as I called Andy. The phone rang 4 times and no answer. He was asleep.

I didn't want to force Mike to walk home. I was cool with it but it didn't seem fair to Mike so I called him again. This time he answered on the 3rd ring."Autumn! I'm sorry I was asleep, what's up?" he asked. I could tell he had just woken up from his morning groggy voice and the slight tingle of confusion in his voice." Mike and I are still at school. Just wanted to ask if you could come pick us up" I asked kindly, just as Finn held open the door for me to come through. I gave him a friendly smile indicating a 'thank you'."Shit!" Andy said on the other line. There was a pause and some shuffling in the background of the phone."I am so so so sorry. I'll be there soon. I'm really sorry love you A" he said in a rush before hanging up. I giggled slightly and shoved my phone into my back pocket.

"Hey! Autumn! I'll see you tomorrow" Finn shouted as he backed away to his car and drove off. I took a seat on a bench and Mike followed my actions."Andy was sleeping. He said he'll be here in a few minutes" I told Mike who stayed quiet like he normally does. I know most people would've seen his silence as rude or weird but I get it. I'd rather be quiet and unknown than get bullied or picked on or anything like that. He's smart.

Short chapter. I'm sorry, These are getting really crappy. But not in the next one 😏. Get ready to get a huge case of the feels because something tragic is about to happen in the next chapter. I'm sorry for the teasers and the short chapter but I do love y'all!
