Glee Welcomes You, Andrew

During Glee that day, after school, Mike and I took Andy inside with us. We were the first to arrive and Mr. Shu had been inside grading Spanish papers.

"Hey, Mr. Shu" I greeted him, getting his attention before introducing him to Andy. He turned and smiled up at Andy. "Hello. Who are you?" he asked, walking up to us and extending a hand. Andy took it with the hand that wasn't injured and shook his hand.

"Im Andrew Voss, Autumn's brother" he said with a smile plastered to his face. Mr. Shu's expression had changed since he realized Andy was related to me. "It's nice to finally meet you" his smile widened.

"Same" Andy simply said, causing everyone to look at him funny. "Ive always wanted to meet the guy who gave my baby sister a voice, and a family she didn't think she needed" he smiled sweetly down at me. I stuck my lip out and felt my lips curl at the corners, Mr. Shu beamed and chuckled, shaking his whole body. "Awe, you are too sweet. I'm glad to have her in my class. We might have a chance at winning Regionals with your sister" he boasted and made his way back to his desk to finish grading his papers.

I guided my brother to the front row of plastic chairs over to the side of the room, I've always hated being in the front middle. It made me feel self conscious because I aways thought being in the middle of the first row, people always look at you first and I didn't like having all the attention on me. Mike sat down next to Andy and I sat on his other side so I could sit next to my brother and talk to him if I wanted to.

Soon enough everyone arrived before the final bell rang. Most people ignored Andy except for Rachel, Kurt, Tina, and Quinn. I shifted to sit against the wall as everyone got to know my brother and from the looks of it, Quinn was flirting hardcore and I had no problem with it.

Only, it was becoming cringey because Andy was obviously not into her, along with her being huge and pregnant. Kurt was a chatter mouth and asked all the questions in the world trying to get all he could from my brother.

"Alright Kurt. Im sure Andrew would like to keep some things to himself" Mr. Shu glared at Kurt, shushing him as he received a bitch face and folded his arms in defeat. Tina and I giggled to ourselves and Mr. Shu went over some of the things for Nationals.

"But, as it is a few months away. This after school meeting can be some free time for all of you in the meantime. I'm still expecting a Madonna number from you Autumn. Along with all of you boys" Mr. Shu sounded irritated by the fact he didn't get very many entries from the class. I just didn't see Madonna as a musical icon and I needed to look up the lyrics for that song Tina suggested we sing. I still didn't get the time to tell Mike about the idea but I'm sure he'll be fine with it.

"So, just for fun, and to kick this session off. How about a round along?" Mr. Shu smirked, looking around, seeing everyones faces light up. "You meant to tell us, we can actually sing and not just backup for Voss and Berry?" Santana stated, sarcastically gasping in 'shock' and putting a hand over her heart, receiving an annoyed glare from Mr. Shu.

"Autumn?" he asked. My head shot up meeting Mr. Shu's eyes. "Yes?" I asked. He wove a hand for me to go to him and I did as he whispered in my ear. I smiled and nodded my head. "Finn" he did the same thing to Finn and I made my way to the piano, Finn made his way to the drum kit, Mr. Shu was getting Puck to play the guitar, and Artie to play the bass guitar which I also knew how to play, only piano felt more natural.

"Who needs a band when we have you four" Mr. Shut scoffed. He directed us to begin playing and as if we were trained, we started the same note off at the same time, causing a sweet taste to spread across my tongue as the note hung loosely in the air. I could feel everyones attention flicker from one another and yet I felt like I could be myself without being judged. Puck, Artie, Finn, and I all played together playing to the tune of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. Everyone smiled and like we planned this out Santana started the song off.
