The door open and a tall man stood in front of me. It wasn't Andy, but he wore a white doctors coat with a stethoscope hung around his neck. He wore black rimmed glasses and his hair was in a man bun."Is everything okay miss?" he asked, he had a slight accent that sounded a little Australian.

I didn't answer him as I pushed by him to see who was in the room. There, I saw my brother laid out on the bed with half his body covered with a thin blue sheet, with bright white lights highlighting his tan skin. There was a deep purple bruise on his left cheek, and one on his arm. He had visible stitches on his eyebrow and on his bicep. Then he had a green cast wrapped on his left ankle. His eyes lay closed and the only thing telling me he's alive was the slow and uneven rise and fall of his chest."Oh my god" I collapsed on the floor, just for the male nurse to attempt to catch me."Calm down, Miss. He is okay. What's your name?" he asked calmly, holding my arms as they shook violently. I cried as I looked up at him noticing he had strange grey colored eyes and he had very few grey streaks in his hair.

"Aut-A-Umm" I didn't know if he could understand what I said but I didn't care, I glanced back over to my brother who had his eyes closed and his hair knotted with blood."Are you his girlfriend?" he asked."Sister" I choked out, blinking the tears away. I sniffled and wiped my cheeks, they burned to the touch."Okay Autumn..." he said like he was asking if that was my name. I shook my head and he slowly lifted me to my feet.

"I need you to be strong for your brother. He was involved in a car accident, just maybe three hours ago. He went through surgery-" he broke off before his voice was muffled by my whine. I fell into the doctors chest and cried. He wrapped his arms around me trying to comfort me."Is he going to l-li-" I couldn't. I let go of him and searched his face for an answer.

"He will live. He went into surgery where our well educated staff removed both his ring and middle finger. They were smashed in the accident and we had no other choice but to remove them. Then his foot was severely crushed against the other car, and he has bruises and a couple stitches on his arm, eyebrow, and his rib, where a large piece of the windshield lodged itself in his side" he explained. I took a deep breath slowly glancing behind me to my brother.

"So why are his eyes closed?" I asked still broken. He hesitantly looked at me to Andy, and then back to me."Look. How about you wait out in the waiting room for a little while, while me and the other nurse look over your brother. Make sure he's okay, then you can see him. Is there anyone you want to call?" he asked. I sighed and ran over to Andy and placed a kiss on his forehead. That's when I really saw what he was talking about. Andy's hand... his throwing hand.... it was destroyed.

The only thing giving him a chance at going to collage. I choked on my own voice at the sight of the stitches on his fingers. The nurse had pulled me away from my brother and closed me out into the hallway. I slid down the door and sobbed into my knees.

Andy's arm, there were two fingers missing, as that nurse was no help. He said he was still alive but he was sleeping. Is he in a coma? That only made me cry more. I lifted to my feet and ran to the elevator. I went back down to the 1st floor and called my dad. It rang twice before he answered."Hey, Honey. What's up?" he asked.

"Andy-" I broke off. I bit my lip again, then continued to talk."He's in the hospital Dad" I cried slightly as I made my way to the waiting room."Oh my god Autumn. What happened?" I could hear the worry in his voice. I sniffled.

"He was in an accident. His hand though Dad... he lost two of his fingers" I cried, now allowing the tears to spill."Look" I could now hear his voice break. He was crying. I guessed he was in the car, driving back home but I needed him here, Andy needs him here."I'll be there in 20 minutes which hospital are you at?" he choked. That just made me want to cry more, hearing the torn tone in my dads voice."Lima National Hospital. Dad?" I asked pulling my knees up to my chest as I sat in the red clothed chair.
