Tina, Mike, and I all practiced for our Madonna number and decided it would be better if the ending of the song signaled Tina and I to kiss. I didn't mind, and neither did Tina because we were becoming so close we didn't have a problem with it. I trusted her, and she trusted me. We did the dance over and over until the sky outside grew dark.
"Fuck, do you guys want to walk and get something to eat?" I asked the group of Asians.
"Yeah, sure" Mike replied quickly, getting up and grabbing his backpack from the backstage.
"I can't, my dad said he'd pick me up whenever I called him and I told him to pick me up at school so..." she trailed off seeing if I understood what she was implying. I nodded my head, "Yeah, yeah of course" I assured her as she grabbed her backpack and made her way out the door.
"So, McDonald's?!" Andy snapped me out of my thoughts. Everyone agreed and us three walked down to the closest Mcdonalds and ordered our food, ate at the curb, and began to head home.
"I'm glad you'll be joining us in Glee" I smiled up at my brother as I walked in step with Mike and Andy. "I just hope I made the right decision" he bit his lip and shoved his hands into his hoodie pocket. We slowly walked through the cold wind of Ohio when the only thing that could be heard was the crunch of gravel under our feet and the crickets hiding in the brush.
I yawned, looking over and seeing both Mike and Andy making conversation about some game I didn't know about.
"Oh crap!" I shouted in realization. "Shit, Regionals is next week isn't it?!" I shot a nervous glance at Mike. His mouth hung open and face palmed himself, stopping in his tracks once we've crossed the highway.
"Fuck, it is" he said. "I forgot. Mr. Shu asked us to see him at his place on Thursday" Mike spoke out. We continued to walk towards Mike's place first since we didn't want him walking alone if we went to ours first.
"So this guy wants me to somehow learn a whole dance routine, and a bunch of songs in what, a week?! Is he crazy?" Andy asked in complete sincerity. I rolled my eyes with another yawn.
"Sometimes" I joked. "No, we've only gone over one song for Regionals and we still haven't discussed the other two" I explained to Andy. We reached Mike's and he slowly separated from us as Andy and I continued to go over how Friday would go.
That night it was easy for me to sleep. I was tired and exhausted and got a decent amount of sleep before the sun rose. Dad had made it home safely and Rusty had been waiting for me to come home and once I got inside, I fed him and took him up to my room for bed.
Before crashing, I received a text message from Mike asking if I could go over to his place and work on junkyard watch for his motorcycle. I agreed for Sunday and fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning and got dressed in a long sleeved shirt that said 'Caution Approaching Fangirl'. Then threw a 5sos hoodie over that, along with curling my hair and adding some leather pants and boots.
Dad drove Andy and I to school where Mike and Andy strode together for a while, while I got everything into my locker. Once lunchtime came around Mike, Andy, Tina, and myself found a table in the lunchroom to eat together at. Then Puck and Finn joined us, along with Rachel who was shockingly blending in.
Everyone seemed happy. I wished it could last like that forever. I told everyone about Andy's schedule change he got done with Mike and everyone seemed happy but Finn. He seemed a little disappointed. After lunch we all walked to Glee. Mr. Shu's face lit up when he saw Andy walk in with everyone else. Tina and Mercedes seemed to have a hook on my brother which I didn't have a problem with. I thought it was funny because they are both not his type. He's always been the type to like the mellow, quiet girls and both Tina and Mercedes were the complete opposite of that.
