i'm sorry for being a failure. i'm sorry for disappointing you. i'm sorry i failed to meet your expectations even when i could've reached them. i'm sorry for having wasted your time, which you could've used for something or helping someone more important than me. Most of all, i'm sorry for speaking, because you were genuinely concerned and you actually understood.
But even though i don't deserve it, i want you to lie to me. Lie to me and tell me that it's alright. Lie to me and tell me these failures aren't all. Lie to me and tell me it gets better. Lie to me and tell me I can change. Lie to me and tell me there's more chances. Lie to me and tell me that this won't get worse.
Just lie to me and tell me she won't be disappointed. Just lie to me and say she won't be ashamed of me. Just lie to me and say she won't scream or yell at me. Just lie to me and tell me she won't hate me. Just lie to me and tell me she won't hurt me.
