I'm not sure who this lady is but she's what I imagined for Justin's mom ^__^

I wouldn't necessarily classify myself a loner. I'm not popular, but I'm not ridiculed, and I'm not friendless - so I guess, really, I was just like every one else that didn't stand out. And let me tell you, I was quite happy blending into the walls. So when Allison came and sat across from me during lunch, I had to resist the urge to glare at her.

Lunch was my time. The time where - for one minute - I was not sitting at a desk, not being in the same premises as my mother, and could eat in peace without Sassie telling me that my hips don't lie.

"Hi!" She had the signature wide eyes and dimpled smile, and I found myself grinning back almost instantly - like when you see a cute dog but know that your dog is way better.

"Hey," I took a sip of my drink, looking right briefly when Erik sat next to me, "hi." I directed at him.

Don't look. Don't fucking look. My gaze drifted to my lunch, Eyes on the prize, eyes on the prize.

Erik nodded, digging through his bag in search of something before looking up, "Hello." And continuing his search.

I was thankful for the fact that his glance was less then a second long.

"How's your day?" I looked back at Allison, feeling terrible that I wasn't listening to the words that began to spill out of her mouth.

My attention, unfortunately, was focussed solely on Erik. On how I could feel the warmth of his body, how the rustling of his hands in his bag was the only thing I could hear - when I should be been listening to Allison but none of the words she was saying were being processed.

Erik was close. Too close. And after that... regrettably enjoyable fantasy, looking at him was not an option. Not when I knew that heat would rise up my neck, settle on my cheeks and he would know.

It's been two days, get over yourself.

Somehow he would know. Maybe not the part about my dreamworld making him give me a blowjob but he would definitely know about the gay part. Erik was smart. He would just know.

And that was not an option.

I was staring at Allison's mouth - not because I wanted to kiss her - trying to lip read because I was having a possible sensory overload and everything was suddenly muffled. The only thing I could hear were the irritating things; the clock ticking, a basketball bouncing on the linoleum.

Ta-donk. Ta-donk. Ta-donk. Ta-donk.

I felt inexplicable anger at the sound. It was almost like it was driving straight into my head. My eyes snapped right, glaring at Erik who's head was hurried in his phone, skimming over something he was reading.

My eyes moved down to his hands, at the one holding his phone, then to the other, resting on the table.

Ta-donk. Ta-donk. Ta-donk. Ta-donk.

I sighed at it, my eyes finding the side of his face in an instant, too annoyed to even think about blushing. "Stop tapping."

I turned back to Allison - who, somehow, did not notice the exchange - and didn't even bother to look back at Erik, who's tapping had now, thankfully, stopped. I felt his eyes in my face but ignored them and eventually they returned to his phone.

Allison didn't stop talking. Ever. It was like she was a speaker without an off button. Her voice wasn't terrible to listen to - not meaning I wanted to listen to it - but enough for me to latch onto bits and pieces of conversation and nod with enough enthusiasm for her to think I was listening.
