I'm sorry this took so long to get out, but it's here and it's queer (not really, but kinda), I hope y'all enjoy
^^???^^
"Nice to finally meet you," I say, looking at Sassie and then to her girlfriend (who was, without a doubt, a thousand times more appealing to the eye then my sister). She shook my hand, it was a bit weird, strangely formal and yet hugging it out or not doing anything at all would have been too awkward.
"I'm Sam, Cassandra has told me a lot about you."
I force a laugh, glaring at my sister, "Did she now?"
That was probably the worse thing Sam could have said, considering the things Sassie had come to know about me recently. Does Sam know that you're both going to deceive Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs, or has Sassie not told her about that whole ordeal?
Sam laughs too, easing the tension. She's really pretty actually, model worthy, with long, blonde hair and green eyes. "She's a ballerina," I remember Sassie saying. Mom and Dad are at Church, Erik too, so it's just me, Sam, and Sassie stuffed into our tiny dining area while we all wait for the impending conversation that is about to ensue.
"Don't worry, it was all good things!" She laughs, eyes squinting.
In all honesty, her reassurance isn't all that reassuring. As of late, there aren't many good qualities that Cassandra could - or would - tell someone about me. What would she say? 'My gay brother decided to try and be straight, failed when he made out with his girlfriend's brother, then got beat up twice in the span of three days on separate occasions for different reasons.' And, 'Oh, but now he'll pretend to date you so we can fuck.'
I guess that's a redeeming quality in some warped way. I, Justin Hobbs, virgin boy, am the enabler of sex.
"I'm not sure how much I believe that," I say sarcastically.
Cassandra glares at me, as though my innocent and very apparent joking will result in her new(?) relationship failing. In my eyes, the quicker Sam saw the full force of our family, the better. There was nothing wrong with adjusting slowly, but, as a whole, my family would never stop shocking the average person; it was better to expect to be baffled, rather than believe you knew everything.
Sam laughed at Cassandra's disgruntled face and grabbed at it, pulling her cheeks like she was a chubby-cheeked child. "Don't be such a baby, Cassandra, I already know how much of a grump you are!"
I think Sam and I are going to get along...
Much to my shock, Sam's hands weren't slapped away from Sassie, nor was she insulted. To my horror, Cassandra just grinned at her. What in the name of all that is holy...
"Oh, you're whip-whipped," I mumbled.
Cassandra broke away from Sam, directing yet another glare at me. "Shut up, if Erik was over and did the same thing, you would be all for it, dipshit."
It was hard to even try and imagine a scenario where Erik would grab my cheeks and call me a baby. Personality wise, he was more likely to kick me and tell me to stop acting like an old man. "Can you even imagine that happening?"
"It was hypothetical!"
I rolled my eyes sarcastically, "Uhuh," Sam was watching the two of us with a rapidly growing interest, eyes flickering back and forth. "I know you just want to see me act cutesy so you can mock me, let's not hide the truth from your girlfriend, Sassie, you're better than that." I sighed dramatically, leaning back on my chair, "Where's your integrity!"
