Hello. My apologies for being a shit writer.
As compensation for waiting like seven months for an update, here's a long-ass chapter.
Also, the next chapter is gonna be out right after this :)
Thanks for y'alls dedication (✿◠‿◠)
I assume that having a boy in your bedroom is probably nothing exciting for another teenage boy, however, it's a different story considering I have a significantly large liking for this one in particular. There was no fuss with Will the first time he came over, even Jeremy last week - although, looking back that was probably not one of my better decisions and the awkwardness is still not fully faded - but Erik?
Well, Erik's one of a kind.
So, yes, maybe I did clean my room, and dust my furniture, and empty my trashcan. And yes, I did suffer through Cassandra's awful commentary about how I was pussy-whipped ("Or is it bussy whipped?" She had actually asked.) for the last half-hour it took for me to finish cleaning. Plus, in a way, it was good timing, as I was able to tease her just as relentlessly as she did, because tonight - Ladies and Gentleman - I was officially playing 'straight boy' for the introduction of Samantha to the parentals.
My prediction for this evening was that tonight would go absolutely horrendously. If Samantha and I were even able to keep the illusion up and running, there was still the question of whether or not Samantha would be permitted to stay the night, whether she would stay in my room or Cassandra's (God, please do not let it be mine!) and if whatever nocturnal activities they had planned went undetected.
So no, I did not have much faith in the plan, and there was no real contingency for if things went south.
But here we all were, in my room (Sassie claimed hers wasn't child-proof) and waiting for my the long-awaited dinner to commence. Erik and I were putting the finishing touches on our biology assignment, due on tomorrow, and Cassandra and Samantha were happily lounged on the bean bags on the floor, playing Mario Kart.
So far so good.
"Do you really think this is going to work?" Erik whispered to me, looking over his shoulder at the happy, cuddlier couple.
I sigh, resting my head on my palm and turning my head to see him. "I'd be really fucking surprised if it does."
Erik huffs a little laugh, spinning in the chair to face the Sam and Sassie. "So do you two have your story straight at least? Pardon the pun." Cassandra gives him a particularly disappointed look but Sam cracks a small grin.
"We're just gonna stick to how me and Cass met but Justin will be her and I will be me." she responds.
Erik looks at me sceptically. "And do you know that story?"
I groan in annoyance, stretching back on the chair. "Met at the ballet when Cassandra and I supposedly went. Hit it off right away. First date to..."
"-Chilis." Sam chips in, smirking.
"-Chilis. Second date at the movies-"
"Seeing what?" Erik asks.
"Don't know, fell asleep. Has a cute dog named Moo. Lives with grandparents. Ta-fucking-da."
Erik frowns. "What about her birthday? Interests? Anything?"
I look to Samantha pleadingly, she laughs. "It'll be okay, Erik, I've met enough potential mother-in-laws to know I'll have to answer most of the questions anyway."
"See?" Erik looks sceptical still, and in some way, that makes for a fairly worrisome atmosphere. Cassandra chews her bottom lip in apprehension, and I find myself quitting, wondering if this is actually something we can pull off.
