Ash-

Addison's funeral was over a weekend. Everybody that was listed came, and it was a really beautiful service. She gave me and Andi some stuff in her will, but nothing large.

I arrived at Mr. Lonsdale's office the morning of the party. I wore a collared, button down, light blue shirt, and some light gray dress pants, along with light brown dress shoes. I wouldn't have time to change before that party, so I had to wear this now.

I knocked on the door, his office suddenly a foreign place. "Come in," he called behind the door.

I went in, and saw Mr. Lonsdale sitting at his desk. He wore a lilac, collared, button down shirt, black dress pants, and a black tie. His shoes were dark brown, and his hair was once again in a short, buzz cut style. His glasses hung on his nose, and I instantly felt attracted.

I tried to brush away the thought, but couldn't as he took in my outfit as well. "You forgot a tie?" He asked.

"Tie?" I repeated.

Mr. Lonsdale groaned. "Tie! Did I not tell you you needed a tie?"

I shook my head, embarrassed. He sighed. "Fine. Just borrow this," he said, throwing me a light gray tie.

I nodded, and put it around my neck.

"Well," he said, "we're going to have to make sure everything is in place, though it should be. Your job will be, firstly, to greet the guests as they enter, maybe offer them a cup of champagne, or something." I nodded, though I was hoping for a slightly better position. "After that," he continued, "you can go around and maybe snatch up a few clients. There'll be lots of important people there, so this is a big night." I nodded again.

He slammed a folder shut. "Well, that's all. I'll need you to come to my office after class—my class, that is—and then we'll go to the site. Let the party begin," he added with a smile.

I smiled, too. "Let the party begin."

He released me, and I went out to wander the empty halls. Kids would start arriving soon.

I decided to go to all of my teachers to collect my homework, and they were all 'amazed by my responsibility!'

As kids started arriving, I met up with Phoenix and Andi. Nathan, as usual, was running later than normal, despite the fact that I set his alarm early.

Andi was telling me about the babies, talking about how close to the due date we were. The thought was horrifying, but I knew we could co parent just fine.

Nathan finally joined us, though he was out of breath. He kissed Andi, panting. "Wha... what's with all the dress up, dude?" He asked.

"Did you seriously forget?" Phee asked before I could.

Nathan looked confused. "Forget what?"

I rolled my eyes. "The party is tonight." I remind him.

He looked stunned. "You're going to a party dressed like that?" He exclaimed. I glared at him, and he put his hands up in defense. "Just joking, just joking."

The bell rang and class flew by. Before I knew it, I was heading to Professor Lonsdale's office, waiting for him to join me.

When he did, he didn't even open his office door. "Let's go," he told me, motioning me outside.

I followed him to the parking lot, and into his car. It had been a while since I'd been in here. I'd been reminded of the first time I was, right before we kissed. Or, almost kissed, at least.

The memory made my heart flutter.

We parked at a fancy building, and Mr. Lonsdale led me inside. Like he said, it was mostly set up. The chairs, the table, even a fountain.

"Looks like everything's in place," I commented.

He nodded, looking pleased. "Yeah, I'd say that." He turned to me, and, as if he had just remembered something, started moving again, motioning me to follow him.

He went up some stairs, and opened a door. Outside the door it was, well, outside.

He had led me to the roof, I concluded. I went out with him, enjoying the breeze against my skin. There was a drop, but not too large of one. I knew at some point this would be the perfect place to catch a glimpse of the sunset.

"So, Miller, I need you to meet me here around..." he unnecessarily checked his watch, "... 8:30, once the party ends. Cool?"

I nodded my head, confused as to why he'd want to meet me up here.

We went back to the main room, where I waited at the door for people to arrive.

Mr. Lonsdale was right—there were plenty of famous people here, along with their agents. Willa Holland, Danielle Panabaker, Manu Bennett, Carlos Valdes, Jesse L. Martin... the list went on and on.

I greeted all of them with a smile, a "Hello, welcome to the party," and an offer of alcohol. It got boring, but I was amazed at all of the famous people I was meeting.

After everybody had seemed to arrive, I began to mingle.

I talked with Wentworth Miller and his agent, Tom Cavanagh and his agent, and Emily Bett Rickards and her agent. I convinced some of them to follow up with Mr. Lonsdale, which I considered to be a success.

I even got to meet Rick Gonzalez, and I was happy with my idea that we should try to get him as a face for Lonsdale Acts Inc.

Soon, 8:30 rolled around, and guests were starting to leave. Some thanked me for my excellent service, others shook hands with Mr. Lonsdale.

I got up to the roof before Mr. Lonsdale. He didn't show up until 8:35, though I wasn't surprised because of how many people were waiting to thank him.

I was sitting on the ledge, and he came and joined me. Sarah came out with him, too. I kept my head down, refusing to look at either of them. He finally instructed me to stand up, which I did.

He was standing in between me and Sarah, looking at the both of us. "Sarah," he took in a deep, nervous breath, "we're done."

She was stunned, as was I. "What?" She screamed. "Then I'll just tell DU the affair you had with your student.

"No, you won't," he told her. "You have no proof that we were ever together. Up until now, you and I were on every magazine cover, thanks to your persistent need to eat out."

I looked hopefully at Mr. Lonsdale, and he looked back at me, but didn't speak. "Sarah, I think you should leave," he told her, never breaking our eye contact.

"But," she protested.

"Leave." He was firm, and she ended up storming off.

"Ash," he sighed, "I want to know if... if you'll get back together with me?"

Okay, I'm so so so so so nervous for my first football game today, so I wrote this chapter to calm me, but it's not working!
