Just so you know, the title doesn't do this chapter justice in the events! This is a HUGE chapter, and I hope you like it!
Warning: The book is almost over! I know I (might, I don't really remember) have said I'd make the book longer than My Gay Teacher, but this is only 35 chapters (not including the intro, author's note, or epilogue.)

Ash-

"Ash," he sighed, "I want to know if... if you'll get back together with me?"

I knew this was coming.

Well, I didn't expect it to happen now, but I also didn't expect him to break up with Sarah.

It was clear he had been thinking about this for a while.

I felt warm. He wanted to be with me. It was the greatest feeling I'd ever felt.

Yes! I wanted to scream. Yes! Yes!

But, instead, I said, "Let me think about."

He, as well as I, was stunned by my answer.

"Have you found someone else?" He asked.

I shook my head. "Mr. Lonsdale-."

"Keiynan," he cut in. "At least call me Keiynan."

"Keiynan," I said, his name now sounding foreign on my tongue, just as his office and hand had felt. "I'm honestly not sure. You've broken my heart."

"Sarah broke it!" He argued. "Sarah! Not me!"

I shook my head. "But you did, Keiynan. Just... just give me time, please?" I asked.

I thought of all the good times we had had.

Dinner at his place. Kisses in his class closet. 7 minutes in heaven at the party. The overtimes. The shared smiles. The moral support.

I sighed. "I want to say yes, Kee. I really do."

"So then say yes!" He begged.

I hesitated. "You know it's not that easy."

"But is it really that easy to just to throw away what we had?"

"What did we have, Keiynan?" I shot back, slightly angry. "We were never able to define it." My tone was relaxed again.

"But I love you, Ash. You love me. Isn't that all we really need?"

"But don't we also need freedom? I can't go back to feeling trapped all the time. Sneaking around, secret dates... it's too much."

His head hung low. "But can't you do that for me?"

Before I could answer, my phone rung. It was Andi.

"Hold on," I told him.

"What?" I asked the other line.

I heard tires screeching. "Andi's going into labor!" Nathan screamed.

"What?!" I asked, panicked. Keiynan gave me a worried look.

"Andi's going into labor, Ash! Phoenix is driving us to the hospital, and Andi is in the back."

"Why didn't you call the hospital, or something?"

"All of their emergency trucks are in use. There's a huge fire or something near here."

"I'm coming," I told him before hanging up.

I started freaking out, slamming open the door and bolting down the stairs. "What's wrong?" Keiynan asked.

I stopped for a second. "Andi's going into labor."

He joined me, running down the stairs. "I'll drive you," he told me.

We hopped into his car, where we sped to the hospital. "This can't be happening," I kept repeating. "The due date's in two days! N-n-not now!"

Keiynan put his hand on my leg, and took his eyes off of the road for a second to look at me. "Hey," he said, "it's happening. But, you'll be a great dad. I know it."

I smiled, and suddenly felt more at ease. "Thanks, Kee."

He smiled. "No problem."

The rest of the drive to the hospital was silent, except for my heavy, nervous breaths.

As soon as we reached the hospital, I jumped out of the car, maybe before it even came to a full stop. I ran into the building. "Andi Albertson," I told the front desk lady, out of breath.

She looked me up and down, as if determining whether or not I deserved the number. "Room 220," she finally told me.

Keiynan came running in after that, and followed me as I sprinted up the stairs, almost falling.

I rushed into the room labeled 220, the same white numbers on a teal background, taunting me.

I saw Andi laying down on the bed, breaths heavy, Nathan guiding her through it, and Phoenix telling him when he'd crossed a line. "I'm here," I triumphantly tell them. "I'm here!"

Nathan stepped back, letting me take his place in comforting Andi. "Okay, Andi, just breath. Huh huh whoo, huh huh whoo," I instructed, and she started following my breaths.

Finally, she started relaxing. I noticed Keiynan wasn't in the room, probably playing it safe by staying outside. I silently thanked him.

The doctor came in. "I'm Dr. Pearson. Ms. Albertson, I presume?" He asked.

"Andi's fine," she told him.

I stuck my hand out to him. "I'm Ash. The father."

"Well nice to meet you." He started telling us the procedure, and everything that we'd have to do. He said it'd be hard, but that he was a professional, and he'd do what he could to make sure we leave with two healthy babies.

I just nodded my head, taking in all of the information.

Finally, it was time.

Not that we could really decide that, but Andi said it was time.

Nathan and Phoenix were instructed to leave, and they didn't put up a fight. I mean, who'd want to watch the birth of a child—children—who aren't theirs?

"You're going to have to push, Andi," he told her.

She shook her head. She had been trying, but was exhausted. "I can't."

"Andi," I told her, looking into her blue eyes, her damp blonde hair, as she looked at my brown hair and green eyes, "you can do this. You have to do this."

She took a deep breath.
