(hi, let's pretend that Mike, Lucas, Will, and Dustin are all around like Jonathan, Nancy, and Steve's ages okay? I sort of feel a little weird writing about them at like the age they are now in the show. Thank you)

Mike's heart raced when he saw you walk out of your classroom. He had roses and chocolates to give you. You had been together for a year already.

However, he also had a secret he needed to tell you; this secret had been bothering him ever since he realized he really loved you.

"You're the cutest," you said as you saw him holding the beautiful roses.

"and you're the beautifulest," he smiled. He held out the roses and the chocolates. You sniffed the roses and smiled.

"Thank you. I also got you something," you smiled. You took out D&D and handed it to him.

"Whoa, (y/n)! This is so cool. Thank you," he kissed your cheek. He looked at you for a long time. You stared back, but began to feel a little self conscious.

"What is it?" You asked with a small laugh.

"I have something...I need to tell you something," he whispered.

"Okay.." you muttered. He stayed silent for a while longer, "C'mon now. Tell me! You're making me nervous," you told him.

He pulled you into an empty classroom so that no one could hear.

"Okay.." he took a deep breath, "just know I love you so much, okay?" You nodded your head in response. You began to feel afraid for some odd reason.

"Okay, exactly a year ago I asked you to be my girlfriend," he said.

"Whoa, you better not ask for marriage just yet," you laughed. He smiled for a brief second before looking serious once more.

"However, also a year ago today," he paused for a second, "um I was dared by my friends to ask out the weirdest girl in school," he looked up to see your reaction.

You bit your lip for a second. That was not what you thought it would be. Yes, you had gotten scared, but you did in any situation like this. Your heart began to hurt. You took a couple steps back.

"(Y/n)," he said reaching out for you, but you kept backing up and even backed into some desks.

"W-why?" You said finally crying, "How could you?" You yelled.

"(y/n), i'm so sorry! I love you. I was dumb enough to do that, but I swear I love you."

"A year. You had me fooled for A YEAR!"

"I love-"

"bullshit," you told him. You still had the roses and chocolates in your hands. You threw them at him before running out of the classroom.

"(y/n)!" he screamed.

Many people turned to look at you as you ran out of the classroom. You didn't look at anyone until you reached Dustin, Will, and Lucas.

"(y/n), what's wrong?" Lucas asked.

"Did you know?" you said still crying.

"About?" He replied.

"The dare. Did you know?"

Lucas looked guilty. He looked at Dustin and Will for support, but both of them kept quiet.

"I-"

"You don't need to say anything. I know now that you are all a bunch of liars," you said.

You walked passed them and out the school entrance. Just outside was Steve Harrington leaning against his car.

You looked towards the street then back at his car. Without saying a word you walked straight to him and got in his car.

"What the hell?" He said.

You looked forward.

"Get in and drive," you demanded. Steve was surprised to see you so demanding and rebellious, so he did just as you said.

As you drove off, Mike saw you with Steve. His heart ached knowing how much he had hurt you.
