Going to school the next day was difficult. The thoughts of you and Billy clouded your head. How would you tell Max? How would you tell Mike? Yet, what also kept running through you head was what Billy had said about another person being in Mike's life.

You saw Mike and the party walking by as you closed your locker. You sighed and decided it was time.

"Mike," you said softly. You mentally rolled your eyes at yourself. You needed to get it out, "Mike!" You said louder.

He finally turned to face you. The smile he had quickly disappeared. Your heart sank further.

He dismissed himself from his friends and walked towards you.

"Hey y/n," he muttered as soon as he was close enough. He awkwardly ran his hand through his curly hair. You sighed. You missed him deeply.

"Hi Mike," you replied. You took a couple deep breaths before looking back a him.

"There's something," you said at the exact same time he said "I'm truly sorry."

You quickly shut up and listened to him intently. It had been the first time he'd apologize since he distanced himself.

"I'm truly sorry for being the worst boyfriend. I don't mean to distance myself from you, I know that's exactly what i've been doing. I was just so scared of being with you. You're such a wonderful person and I was afraid I wouldn't be enough for you," he finished. The words that left his mouth made your heart hammer in your chest. For weeks you wanted to hear something, anything, as to why you two were drifting apart.

You wanted to tell him about Billy, but now you couldn't. You couldn't ruin what just happened. He was finally opening up again. You noticed that behind him, was Billy. He was leaning against the lockers with a lollipop in his mouth. He had a smirk plastered on his face. He thought you would tell Mike everything. However, his face changed as soon as you jumped into Mike's arms.

"It's okay, Mike. I forgive you. We both should've done more to ensure that that didn't happen. I missed you," you said truthfully. You had missed Mike with every inch of your being. Yes, once you were with Billy you felt at ease, but it's Mike that you wanted. It's Mike. It's Mike. It's Mike.

"It's Mike," you whispered without thinking while holding him.

"What?" Mike asked pulling back to look at you.

You faked a smile and shook your head, "Nothing," you hugged Mike tighter. Yet, your heart wondered why Billy kept running through your mind. You watched a frustrated Billy as he walked away.
