Y/n's POV
I woke up in a dark place.
No light.
Coldness.
Silence.
I looked around me and saw I was standing in ankle deep water. Not even the reflection of the moon in the water was in sight.
Weird.
To my right, came an ear-splitting screech made me cover me ears and hunch down quickly so that my head was almost tucked in between my knees but I had to stop myself just as quickly as I felt a sharp, burning pain in my back. I almost released a scream as I jolted to stand back up, which caused even more pain than before, but froze when I saw someone about 5 meters in front of me.
I saw their back turned towards me.
A red vest.
A bowl cut.
My eyes snapped open and I was back in my hospital room. I felt sweat along my forehead and I had goosebumps down my arms. I noticed my mom standing next to me staring at me with worry wearing into her eyes. Her eyebrows were scrunched together and a pained smile was forced upon her realization that I was awake.
I heard an obnoxious beeping noise next to me and the sound of heavy footsteps growing louder.
What's going on? Am I ok?
Will's POV
Here we go again.
Ever since I came back from the Upside Down I've had these 'episodes' and tonight it was happening again.
This time however it felt different...
Normally my episodes occur in places around town, yet it looks like the Upside Down with floating debris and vines tangled everywhere.
This time? I noticed the ground was in fact covered in ankle deep water. My surroundings were pitch black. The normal red or blue hue of my surroundings in the Upside Down were nowhere in sight. And I'm wearing my red vest? I thought I changed into my pajamas before bed...
Weird.
And then I heard it.
The screech that has haunted my conscious and unconsciousness ever since. I froze but started to turn around as I heard a wince of pain from something... no someone behind me.
Whos there? I turned to see a familiar looking girl...is that?
No it can't be.
After all she's wearing a hospital gown, why would y/n be in a gown like that? I blinked and was about to approach the figure to see if it really was her but the second it took me to open and close my eyes-
they were gone.
