Sorry for being M.I.A. and for this uber short chapter! but for once in my life I'm being pretty social?? Honestly it's fun but hectic at the same time lol
Y/n's POV
"You're late."
"That's because I brought someone. Someone I think you'd like to meet."
Her eyes finally glance to me. The figure behind Hopper.
Curly hair traced the edge of her ears and jaw. A baggy long sleeve shirt hidden behind denim overalls. Dirty white converse barely tucked under the rolled up pant legs.
There she stood, staring at me with shock in her eyes.
"Y/n," she whispered.
"El," I replied with a generous smile.
She slowly walked towards me from the doorway of what I assumed was her room. I stepped out from behind Hopper and we stood facing each other.
"It's nice to finally meet you in person."
"It is..." she replied still in shock.
"Oook kids," Hopper looked between us a bit confused. "Well I guess I'll leave you to talk? I have to at least make an appearance in the office today." He sighed.
"Sounds good to me." I replied.
He turned and pointed to El and said, "Remember the rules Missy."
"Yes."
Hopper left us to stare at each other with wonder in our eyes and quietly closed the front door behind him. I heard the locks slide to secure the door one by one and I took a step forward.
"It's...you"
I smiled at El and walked up to her and opened my arms. El did the same as we hugged, it felt nice to finally have a friend beside the boys and I just feel connected to El. I think she felt the same way because from what I've heard, she's slow to trust. It seems like she doesn't mind me because she didn't shy away.
"So, it sounds like Hopper is ok with me spending some time with you if you don't mind. I can help you with pretty much anything, we can share stories, get to know each other and make memories! Oh, and of course eat lots of food."
El smiled at my enthusiasm, " I'd like that. Here..."
I watched as she walked over to the fridge and pulled out a box of Eggos.
"We can start with Eggos."
I'll try to get back into writing but I'm kinda not fully focused on it rn and I don't want to disappoint you with crappy content
