Unknown POV
I soften my footsteps as I follow the path I've tracked. The screen in my hands holds the key. The key to figuring out everything. The key to stopping the pain. The destruction. Leaves fold and crack under my shoes, they cry out loudly in the silence of the forest.
I shift my eyes up from the GPS screen and blink to focus back upon reality.
And that's when I see it.
I duck behind a tree, peering ever so cautiously around my hiding spot at the scene before me in all its glory.
A cabin.
