CHAPTER XXII: Please

I heard my cellphone ringing.

Ringtone: iPhone 4S Original Ringtone

Kinapakapa ko ang table beside my bed. As I touched it, "Hello? Yah, okay. What time is it again? Okay."

I ended the call. I'm still sleepy because of the show last night. I lie for few minutes then go to the bathroom & took a bath. I prepared myself. Hairgel, toothbrush, and my suit. Pagkababa ko, they were already eating. They were having fun with Jethro's jokes. I was staring at Mary Jane while at the stairs she was laughing when suddenly she saw me. Agad kong binaling tingin ko sa iba at bumaba na. Pinuntahan ko sila sa dining area.

"Good morning, grandma." I kissed grandma in her cheeks. I saw Mary Janes face that she wasn't happy that I am here. Jethro also didn't say a word and just looked at us. I just sat & serviced myself. Grandma  talked.

"Ikaw pala ang nakakuha ijo! Ang galing mo talaga!" Grandma was very happy. I just smiled a bit.

"Kaya nga grandma, we will held a victory party & TWO! Birthday parties!" Jethro said excitingly. Mary Jane was quiet eating her breakfast.

"It looks like your the one who's excited instead of us?" I joked.

"Dalawa?" Grandma wondered.

"Yes, Maria & utol." Jethro smiled. Grandma was surprised and happy, "Parehas kayo ng birthday?"

"Maria is March 7 while utol is March 3, instead of a separate one. We just combined it! Diba granny?"

"Oo nga noh. Sa susunod na linggo na ang Marso ah?"

"Kaya nga po next week narin."

"Saan naman gaganapin iyan?"

"Tentative date payan. I have a meeting with the Rio Grande, baka may mga pupuntahan kame na mga transactions." As I put my glass of water on the table and stood up.

"..aalis nako." I added.

"Ang bilis mo naman ijo? Tapos kana agad?" Nagtaka si Grandma.

"May meeting pako, dun nalang ako kakain." Habang naglalakad.

"Sige, ingat ka ijo!" Grandma shouted while they were eating. I left them, hindi ko nadin narinig si Mary Jane na nagsalita. As I was at the car, "Saksak pala sa baga ni Francine eh. Hah! Isaksak mo din sa baga mo yang si Jethro." I started the engine and drive to the company.

When I arrive employees usually say and greet "Goodmorning, Sir." and getting out of my way. As I got infront of my office, my secretary told me that Ulysses arrived earlier than the said time.

"Sir, Rio Grande's president is already inside." Secretary Anne said. I just looked at her then opened the door. There he really is, sitting at the couch in my office.

"Am I late or your really early?" I joked at him as I close the door.

"No, I really came early." He stood.

"No, please sit down." Pumunta ako sa couch at umupo din. "I'm sorry, did I disturb you?" Patawang tanong nya.

"No, no. Wala naman din po kasi akong ginagawa."

"Ahh. Sige, since your our new business partner. How about meeting your co-business partners?"

"Umm. Sure. Its a big pleasure.for us." I smiled.

"Bata ka, nagmana ka talaga sa ina mo." Napangiti lang ako.

"Kumusta na ang ama mo? Si Franko?" Napatingin lang ako sa kanya. "I heard rumors, there are commosions these past weeks in their Airlines."
