A new greenie came up in the box today a boy with brown hair after he had settled down he began to show his true colours which didn't take him very long at all.

cocky, arrogant and smug and Newt had already taken a dislike to him

"i ain't doing no fucking jobs, i've only just got here, who the hell does that git think i am!" he rambled to Thomas and Chuck

"calm down ok? we all have to do jobs so suck it up" Newt said as calmly as he could as he walked over to the trio

immediately the greenie's eyes snapped over to the new voice and he raised an eyebrow.

"you're the british one yeah?" he asked pointing his finger at Newt who bit his tongue in response not wanting to start anything

"yeah why?" Newt responded as he glanced at Thomas who just shrugged

the greenie nodded over to you "what's that y/n girl like? i mean she's fit and all but what's she like?" he asked

Newt looked over at his girlfriend who was laughing around with Teresa, your y/h/c hair was pulled back into a braid and your y/e/c eyes shining brightly in the sun.

"why do you want to know?" Newt asked looking back at him clenching his jaw

Thomas was quick to notice and jumped in before the greenie could say anything
"you know what it doesn't matter let's just-"

"no no it's fine let him speak" Newt said cutting off Thomas who just left out a sigh

the greenie just shrugged with a smirk "wanna know if i got a chance with her innit" he replied smugly

Newt sent a small glare in his direction "well i know she's already got a boyfriend so good luck" he deadpanned

"oh damn, do you think he will let me smash her?" he asked with a grin

"woah okay that's enough out of you" Thomas jumped in when we noticed Newt's closed fist

"no he shucking won't" Newt snapped taking the greenie by surprise

"how the fuck do you know" the greenie sneered clearly not liking Newt's tone

"because she's my girlfriend and if you ever touch her i'll chuck you out into the maze my damn self. she's a human with feelings, not some object you can use for some pleasure. don't be such a pig you asshole" Newt spat

the greenie gulped and looked at you then back at Newt "alright jeez i'll stay away"

"yeah. you bloody better" Newt said and walked away leaving the greenie with Thomas who shoved him towards Alby's tent

Newt made his way over to you, just the sight of you picking food out of the plant beds was enough to calm him down slightly.

you were just about to move onto the next plant bed when you heard someone come up behind you

you glanced up squinting slightly as the bright sun rays shone into your eyes but you could just make out your boyfriend's distressed features

"what's happened?" you ask him as he sits next to you

"the new greenie is an asshole" Newt said picking up one of the berries you had picked earning him a small slap on the hand "ow!"

"stop eating the berries then" you laugh "what has he done anyway?"

"he wants you" Newt told you making you pull a face of disgust

"ew really? that's disgusting" you mutter turning back to the plant bed

"i told him to leave you alone though"

"i can take care of myself you know" you smile

"i know you can but for this occasion i did it for you" Newt responded with a smile

"well thank you" you grin abandoning the plant bed to wrap your arms around him, kissing his nose lightly

"i love you" you smile

"i love you more angel"
