Newt ~ Just Sleep *unedited*

A/N - so I was just casually watching season 3b of Teen Wolf last night and that was where I got my idea from just thought you should all know :)

Newt POV

Living in the glade is never the best thing but we all do try to make the best out of a bad situation but it all started going wrong a few days ago.

Our only girl, my girlfriend, (y/n) started acting strange, snappy and never seemed to be as happy as she used to be.

We did have a new greenie and with him came a note,

You've all had it easy so far, be concerned..

But Alby said that ever since it's been a lot harder to get fertilizer and grow food so we just assumed that was what they meant but now we're not so sure and I for one was worried about what was going on with her.

"have you seen (y/n) today?" Winston asked

Thomas shook his head and Chuck looked away

Thomas noticed and looked at him
"Chuck?"

"What?" He asked

"You tell us, you looked away when Winston asked about (y/n)" Thomas said

"It's nothing" he said quietly

Something was definitely up.

"Chuck? What happened" I asked

Chuck sighed then looked around
"Well I went to go check on her this morning as I got closer to her but I heard her crying and I went in to see if she was ok and she said she was fine and when I asked if she was sure she yelled saying she was fine and she.. chucked her knife at me, obviously she missed but it really freaked me out"

"That's not like her at all" Winston said worried

"She hasn't been herself for days, it's like she's --" Thomas said

"Possessed" I finished for him

Winston looked at me "maybe you can get through to her"

"I've tried she's not easy to crack" I sighed

"She'll have to eventually" he replied

"I'll go in a bit" I said

After breakfast finished I made my way to (y/n)'s hut and knocked on the door

She opened it rather quickly with tears streaming down her face
"Oh.. hey" she said

I gave her a look

"Sorry, I thought you were Chuck" she said sheepishly "did he tell you?"

I nodded as she let me in
"(y/n) are you ok?" I asked

She shut the door and looked at me "well I-- think so-- I don't know" she stuttered tears falling out her eyes, if anything she looked broken.

I quickly hugged her tightly as she literally broke down

"What's happening" I asked her

She pulled away and sat on her bed

"I haven't been sleeping" she said

"How many hours have you been getting?" I asked

"5" she said

"A day?" I asked

"No in the last 4 days" she said looking down

"That's why you've been so snappy" I said

"I don't know what to do Newt I feel like I'm going insane" she cried "And I just know that if it carries on I'll lose everyone, I'll be lonely with circles under my eyes and hair that's a mess"

I took her hand and gave her a small smile
"You could go completely insane and and have the darkest circles under your (y/e/c) eyes and your (y/h/c) hair could be filled with dirt and be all messy and I would still love you more than I ever have done"

"How could you?" She asked

"Because I know that you are beautiful inside and out" I replied

"I can't carry on like this I'm sick of it" she said

"I'm going to speak to Clint and Jeff see if they have any idea what's going on" I said getting up "I'll be back soon"

She nodded and I went out and ran to the medical hut.

"Clint!" I said as he was the only one in there

"Wassup Newt" he said

I explained the situation to him and he looked through a book to see if there was anything

"Has she been having dreams?" He asked

I thought back "yeah I found her screaming one night from a nightmare"

"I think she has something called sleep paralysis, there's nothing for it here but I suggest you just be there when she falls asleep, she might just need someone there with her" he suggested

"I'll try it, thank you" I said and ran back to her hut

I explained it to her and we decided to try it, it wasn't there first time so it wasn't awkward or anything.

When it did come to the evening we just relaxed in eachother's arms

"I'm sorry if I've been snappy with you lately" she said quietly

"Don't worry about it, it's understandable" I replied kissing the top of her head

"I love you" she said

"I love you too" I replied

I woke up late the next morning to see (y/n) sorting out her hair, use looked at me and smiled "morning"

"Morning, how did you sleep" I asked

She grinned and walked over "best nights sleep I've had in days"

"That's a bloody relief" I said

"All thanks to you" she grinned hugging me

"It was nothing" I replied smiling

"No it was everything" she smiled
