So here we were discussing on to get help from Teresa, I was against the idea of seeing the girl I thought was my bestfriend but whatever. My boyfriend Newt was up for it but was slowly getting annoyed by something, I could see it in his face

"I don't know if it's a good idea or not" Thomas said

"Why?" Newt suddenly asked

"Because it's dangerous" Thomas replied

"Why you worried your little girlfriend will get hurt?" He snapped "because she did turn on us Thomas you understand that right?"

"What?" Thomas asked confused by his sudden behaviour

"You still have feeling for her don't you?" Newt asked

"I don't-" Thomas said looking at me for help

I was very confused at his sudden behaviour he never acted like this never.

Suddenly Newt pushed him up against the wall
"Don't lie to me Thomas!" He yelled "Don't lie to me!"

I looked at Brenda uttered shocked and confused by my boyfriends sudden outburst something he'd never done before

Newt then let go of Thomas "sorry, I'm sorry" he said and walked out

I watched him go and sighed before looking at the group
"I'll go" I said and followed him out

He was sat down on a wall looking at the view in front of him.

I went and sat next to him and looked at him

"Sorry about that" he said

"It's not me you should be saying sorry to" I replied

"Is he upset?" He asked looking at me

"I think he's just confused because even if he did like Teresa, I assuming he thinks that you'd be the most understanding out of everyone" I said

"It's different though, you didn't turn your back on us" he said

"Yes I know but we both know that if it was me then you wouldn't stop caring either" I replied

"I know" he said

"So what's this really about then?" I asked

He looked at me then looked away again
"I guess I can't keep it from you anymore"

"Keep what away" I asked

He rolled up his sleeve to reveal dark veins on his arm, from The Flare virus.

"How long?" I managed to get out

"Few days" he replied looking at me

I looked down at my lap and felt tears roll down my cheeks

He lifted my head so I could look at him and sighed
"Please don't get upset, it's bad enough as it is" he said gently

"Newt, your dying, how can I not be upset" I said feeling more tears fall

"Hey I'm not dead yet, and I don't want to see my girl upset leading up to my last days ok I need you to be strong" he said

"Newt I can't lose you" I cried

He pulled me into a hug while I cried on his shoulder

"There's still time" Thomas said behind us
